Who doesn't like free money? Whatever the amount may be, randomly getting money is one the most pleasurable things in the world.

People of Singapore are way too lucky as they are about to get a one-time bonus of around Rs 10k each! Why? Well, because of the country's surplus budget. That sounds so cool, getting money without doing anything. I'm only slightly jealous that I don't live in Singapore.

Any guesses on the surplus budget? It's a whopping S$10 Billion!

So basically, all the citizens above the age of 21 will receive a one-time bonus ranging from S$100-S$300, depending on their income. I just have only one thing to say you them –

Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat described this bonus as 'hongbao' which is a Mandarin term that means a monetary present given on special occasions. The bonus will cost the government S$700 million and “reflects the government's long-standing commitment to share of the fruits of Singapore's development with Singaporeans”, Heng said.

People with an income of S$28,000 or below will receive S$300, those in the bracket of S$28,001 to S$100,000 will receive S$200, while people earning S$100,000 will receive S$100.

That's such a smart way to distribute the money, full props to Singapore for this, it's quite impressive.

We can only dream of getting a bonus like this, to be quite honest, because I don't see any way that we would ever actually get that. But, we can still hope.
