Honestly, whatever the hell you may think, but Karan Johar's one of the biggest style gods of this century. That too, a low key one. He may be hanging with his core crew, catching a flight in ugly sneakers, wearing a Nataraj pencil coat; but that's exactly what makes him special. Considering he's no actor (or is wanting to be one), his #CelebStyle is yet the talk of town. And that's no easy feat.

Once again to put his bank balance on display (but in his own way), Johar stepped out in another example of international fashion. And while the outfit featured a sweatshirt, classic jeans, dad-sneakers and a flappy shoulder bag — we kinda love it. Because in no way were the pieces usual-man stuff.

First off, Karan's R13 Elvis Presley over-sized sweatshirt is priced at a whooping $687, approximately Rs. 45,000. And belongs to a grungy, cool-girl womenswear brand, that now retails at the top commerce giants globally. Let's also mention, that this is the first-ever sighting of the brand on an Indian celebrity. Plus, while this could be a pick from a womenswear label, we're 100% down for this uncanny activity. Unisex clothing is a big reality.

Going further down, let's talk of Johar's dirty, ugly, chunky, bulky dad-like sneakers that's one of the biggest footwear trends of the season. Hailing from Balenciaga's Triple S sneaker range, these kicks are almost sold-out globally and are the epitome of Normcore in the year 2018 (though, they first appeared in 2017). Also, flag-bearers of the #DirtySneakers in India.

If looked closely, the basis of this footwear style is a derivation of what your dad would prefer — a little too big and just odd (lol). But that's exactly what this trend of 'dirty' sneakers is about. And since they're titled dirty anyway, keep them dirty. A little muck here and there is only going to up your stakes. 

Plus, they're supremely comfortable too (albeit with a hiking-shoe lacing system). And since it's all about being up-and-about in the pair, it's rubber layers (that are giving it some major elevation) are just what your feet deserve.
