  1. It hasn't been that long since the last game in the MotoGP series had come out. It was an exciting title that offered a host of reasons to play it. Now, we have the new MotoGP 20, which, much like any other update, promises to offer a better experience. The MotoGP 20 comes at a time when there's no a lot to look forward to for the MotoGP fans out there due to the coronavirus lockdown. So is this new title in the series worth picking up? Let's find out. Gameplay © MotoGP If there's one thing that you need to about these simulation titles, then it's the fact that these games often mimic the experience of being a part of the real thing. I particularly enjoyed playing MotoGP 19 because it's one of the most realistic simulations I've ever experienced when it comes to two-wheeled racing. And after the new title, I can confirm that the experience is just as enjoyable and realistic, if not more. Everything from the bikes, to the tracks that you ride around the world, they'll are crafted to perfection. If you've ever visited any of the circuits in real life, then you'd know that it's a remarkably good representation of the actual circuit. © MotoGP One of the most important things that I'd like to point out here is the ability to customize your character. When I say customize, I mean it's incredibly detailed. MotoGP 20 offers a powerful visual suite of tools in-game with which you can go all in and come up with some really unique designs for your character. Difficult To Master, Like Riding A Real BikeJust like the MotoGP 19, this new title is also equally challenging to master. If shouldn't be that big of an issue if you are a professional rider who knows his/ her way around bikes, but for a novice like me, it's quite challenging. It's like learning to ride a bike in real life, which is quite a task, at least for me. But that goes to show how good the game is. The devs have done a spectacular job of getting the physics right. Thankfully, with the little experience, I gained by playing the last year's title, I was able to get some decent positioning this time. That being said, I am far from being perfect and that's what makes me want to keep playing it. © MotoGP There are different classes of bikes to choose from too. If anything, that just makes things a lot more exciting. I would recommend you turn off all the riding assists and see if you can handle the bike without them. It's always a good practice to start from scratch and learn everything for an enjoyable experience overall. VisualsI wasn't a huge fan of MotoGP 19's visuals, and I think not much has changed this time around. It's definitely not a stunning game when it comes to the visuals. The character models can definitely use some work and the textures are just as jarring as the last year's title. I particularly hate the intro scene that's shown before each race. I can't help but skip that part because of just how bad it really is. Even after playing the game in high-graphics settings, I often end up seeing some low-res textures and weird animations. That being said, you thankfully won't find it to be all that bad while you're riding. I suggest you set the game to output a high frame rate instead of high graphics quality if you don't have a decent rig to avoid choppy performance. That's the last thing you want to while being in a simulation. Career Mode Is Not That Great © MotoGP MotoGP 20 also has a career mode which basically involves riding in a bunch of events throughout the calendar. But for the most part, there's nothing to look forward to. I wish the events and the progression itself was more rewarding, however, it wasn't the case and I found myself quickly moving on other modes. The Final SayOverall, I think the MotoGP 20 was exactly what I expected it to be - a phenomenal simulation that offers an experience like no other game when it comes to bike racing. It's definitely a challenging game to play but it's equally rewarding when you actually start finding your way around the circuits. Just like the real participants, the only thing you can do to get better at the game is to play as much as you can. Practising the circuits over and over again will help you get better. It won't be an easy ride, but it'll definitely be worth it. View the full article
  2. Hardik Pandya is one of the highest-paid Indian cricketers in the country. The all-rounder cricketer on the field is known for his famous right-handed batting style and right-arm fast-medium bowling style. Aside from the team, he plays for Baroda in domestic cricket and Mumbai Indians in the IPL. It is not surprising that his net worth is higher among fellow cricketers. But before we get right into it, it's important to understand what consists of net worth Net worth is the value of all assets, minus the total of all liabilities. Put another way, net worth is what is owned minus what is owed. This net worth calculator helps determine your net worth. It also estimates how net worth could grow or decline over the next 10 years. © Instagram/Viral Bhayani Among brand endorsements, Pandya has endorsed brands like HalaPlay, Gulf Oil, Star Sports, Zaggle, Sin Denim, D:FY, Boat, and Oppo. Although, Gillette cut ties with him post his inappropriate behaviour on Koffee with Karan. From Versace, Louis Vuitton to Balmain Paris, and Hermes, he likes them all. View the full article
  3. Amid the coronavirus crisis, social distancing and lockdowns across the world seem to be the only effective way to minimise the number of people infected from the disease. However, in such a scenario, things can be a little easy to handle if you live in a multi-crore mansion. We're talking huge spaces so you never get bored of staring at the same walls, big swimming pools, private auditoriums, and stuffed kitchens the size of living rooms so that you never have to complain about the food again. Celebrities are living that life right now. From Shah Rukh Khan to Alia Bhatt, these Bollywood celebrities are quarantining in multi-crore mansions. 1. Shah Rukh Khan © BCCL Shah Rukh Khan's self-isolating haven, Mannat, is an iconic 1920s-era structure. It's a 6-storey high, a sea-facing building located at Bandstand in Bandra West. Mannat is equipped with a personal auditorium and specially built rooms for entertainment. Different rooms are based on different themes and the living rooms are filled with accent pieces hand-picked over the years by his wife and well-known interior designer Gauri Khan. Mannat's estimated market value stands at Rs 41.5 crores. 2. Ajay Devgn © BCCL According to Forbes Indiaâs Celebrity 100 list, Ajay Devgn secured the 12th spot with annual earnings of about Rs 94 crore. Ajay Devgn has a whopping net worth of Rs 260 crores. It is not surprising that he's quarantining with his family in the admirable âShiv Shakti' estate in Juhu. Besides that, he owns another flat in Mumbai. Both combined are estimated to be around Rs 50 Crore. 3. Karan Johar © BCCL Last week, Karan Johar started a new series on Instagram called the 'Lockdown with the Johar's', the series features an Instagram video every day that follows Karan Joharâs kids, Yash and Roohi. It also features Karan's mother, Hiroo Johar. Last week, the kids walked in to Karan Joharâs closet and made fun of all his fashion choices. This brings us to another trivia, the walk-in closet is a part of a double-storey sea-facing flat on Carter road that costs around Rs 32 Crore. 4. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas © BCCL The couple is quarantining together in their brand-new LA residence. According to Variety, in 2019, the couple spent $20 million on a house in the hilly neighbourhood of Encino in LA, California. One can catch glimpses on the house on their Instagram handles. 5. Alia Bhatt © BCCL After starring in Raazi to making Rs 100 crores, Alia Bhatt has emerged as one of the most bankable actresses in Bollywood. She owns property in Juhu and paid a staggering amount of Rs 13.11 crore for it. The 2,300 sq. ft apartment had a standard rate of Rs 7.86 crores, and this indicates that Alia has paid double the price for it. View the full article
  4. The new OnePlus 8 Pro is probably the best OnePlus phone we've seen till date. It's got a really smooth display, a great design, and a powerful set of internals along with support for 5G. There's hardly anything to complain about, at least by looking at the specs sheet. And now that we know exactly how much it costs here in India, we think it's a good time to compare it with last year's OnePlus 7T Pro and see if it's worth upgrading. Let's take a look. Note: This comparison is purely based on the specs of both devices. We'll dive deep into a detailed comparison once we get our hands on the new OnePlus 8 series phones. Design © YouTube/ Marques Brownlee The OnePlus 8 Pro looks more or less the same as the OnePlus 7T Pro, however, there are some key differences. First off, it's worth pointing out that OnePlus has ditched the pop-up camera module for a punch-hole cutout on the front for the selfie camera. And now that there are fewer moving parts on the phone, it comes with IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Great move. At the back, you'll also notice that the phone now comes with an additional camera sensor. Overall, the OnePlus 8 Pro is noticeably larger in size than the OnePlus 7T Pro, but it's both thinner and lighter, so we'll see how it feels in the hand. DisplayOnePlus had a lot to say about the new display on the OnePlus 8 Pro. It's apparently the best display they've ever put on an OnePlus phone. Experts say that it's currently among the best displays on the market too. It's a 6.78-inch panel with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels on the 8 Pro as compared to the 6.67-inch panel on the 7T Pro. © YouTube/ Marques Brownlee Both panels are AMOLED, so you should be able to see rich colors and deep blacks. The OnePlus 8 Pro's panel, however, is a bit more advanced, so you might see a noticeable difference when compared side-by-side. It's also worth noting that the 8 Pro's display supports a 120Hz refresh rate compared to the 7T Pro's 90Hz refresh rate. Both panels also have an in-display fingerprint scanner. Overall, the OnePlus 8 Pro seems to have a better panel here, but we'll reserve our judgments for now. CameraCameras have been a huge talking point when it comes to OnePlus phones as they haven't had the best optics in the game. The 8 Pro, however, aims to change that with its quad-camera setup which includes two 48MP sensors, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 5MP color filter camera. It certainly sounds like an upgrade from last year's OnePlus 7T Pro, but we'll do a detailed comparison later when we have both the devices. As for the selfie shooter, we're looking at the same 16MP sensor with fixed focus and 1.0µm pixels. Internal HardwareAs is the case with every other new OnePlus phone, the OnePlus 8 Pro also comes with the latest and the greatest set of hardware. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 SoC and comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The OnePlus 7T Pro, in comparison, is powered by the Snapdragon 855+ SoC. © YouTube/ Marques Brownlee On top of that, the OnePlus 8 Pro is 5G enabled, which the OnePlus 7T Pro isn't. The OnePlus 8 Pro also has a bigger battery coming at 4,510mAh compared to OnePlus 7T Pro's 4,085mAh unit. Both phones support the 30W Warp charge, but the OnePlus 8 Pro also supports wireless charging, which is great. The Final SayAs you would've already guessed, the OnePlus 8 Pro offers a lot of upgrades over last year's OnePlus 7T Pro. We're looking at a better display, upgraded internals as well as a new camera setup. Other things like 5G support and a larger battery with wireless charging make its case even stronger. The OnePlus 8 Pro is clearly a superior device, at least on paper. That being said, the OnePlus 7T Pro is still an exceptional phone and we think it's worth holding on to if you already have one. But if you're planning on upgrading from an older device, then clearly the new OnePlus 8 Pro is the way to go. View the full article

  6. With the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, some people believe that celebrity culture is dying. The celebrity culture refers to their immense following that also contributes to a celebrity's net worth in a number of ways. But before we get right into it, it's important to understand what consists of net worth. © Viral Bhayani Net worth is the value of all assets, minus the total of all liabilities. According to reports, Ranbir Kapoorâs net worth is estimated to be over Rs 320 crore, currently. His net worth is expected to increase by 40 per cent as he signs up for more big projects. © Viral Bhayani A lot of factors add to this net worth, one of them is the fact that Ranbir Kapoor, currently in the industry, is one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood. Aside from the fact the brand endorsements also contribute majorly to the figure. Reportedly, Ranbir charges around Rs 18 to 20 crore per film and a whopping Rs 5 crore for brand endorsements. Ranbir Kapoor's assets include a Rs. 3.25 lakh TAGHeuer Grand Prix watch and a Rs 18 lakh-worth Harley Davidson Fat Boy, among others. © Viral Bhayani Ranbir Kapoor's property located in Mumbai is estimated to be worth around Rs 16 crore. Apart from that he also owns other estates in India. He has a stunning collection of cars that include Rolls Royce, Mercedes-Benz GL Class, Range Rover, Lexus, BMW X6, AudiRS7, Toyota land Cruiser, etc. While it may sound surprising, but Ranbir's versatile sneaker collection also contributes vastly to his net worth. © Viral Bhayani Other than that, films like Shamshera alongside Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt and Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy are expected to contribute to his net worth in the coming year. 8. Bigg Boss is one of the most controversial and yet entertaining shows of all times. With a weekly dose of drama, gossip and arguments, this high-TRP reality show has ardent fans who are emotionally invested in it. © Viral Bhayani In this season of Bigg Boss 13, people across the country started rooting for Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana. These two, as a couple, have swooned a major population and it wouldn't be wrong to say, that people now look up to them, calling them 'couple goals'. © Viral Bhayani Post their stint in Big Boss 13, the couple AKA #Asimanshi is currently prepping to launch their new music video, Kalla Sohna Nai. The rumoured couple has been spotted time and again making TikTok videos, putting their fans into a tizzy with the song's teaser. Besides, what's also impressive to look at is their dress sense. The two were recently spotted together wherein Asim was seen acing a rather swell casual outfit, sporting his t-shirt with a slogan that said 'Anything for you' paired with crushed cargo pants. Himanshi, on the other hand, looked edgy with her graphic t-shirt and ripped jeans combination. © Viral Bhayani Everything about Asim's outfit looked dapper, but his sneakers, oh man, we must say had our attention. They have an exaggerated sole of this pair that totally trumped Himanshi's mules. Take a look: © Versace Asim is wearing Versace's Chain Sneaker Reaction. The range of chain sneakers is one sort that most celebrities have sported. Right from Diljit Dosanjh to Badshah, the versatile range has the full potential to amp up any basic garb. Speaking of Asim's pair, in particular, the all-white rendition of these shoes has textured uppers and rubberized panels with bubble quilted tongue. Add to that, the exaggerated rubber sole is embossed with the Greek key motif. © Versace Talking about the price of these sneakers, they are available on Versace's website for $995 which sums up to Rs. 75,000. Add to that, customs and import duties and you would easily spend around Rs. 90,000 on this pair. © Viral Bhayani All in all, this is a well-thought-out outfit with sneakers that are a statement piece. Keep it up, Asim. View the full article
  9. When it comes to style, Saif Ali Khan represents the epitome of what most men normally would think of themselves. Which basically means that for someone who really doesn't care that much about what he's wearing, or how has he styled himself, he still manages to look dapper and stylish as anything. © Viral Bhayani While most men like us live in a delusion of our own making, Saif actually has the ability to pull basically anything and everything off with great style and flair. Basically, whether he is dressed in a surreal, bespoke suit, or a basic set of denim jeans and kolhapuris, Saif just owns everything with an air of confidence and authority that is very rare to find. A quality that surely befits a nawab. © Viral Bhayani Is it any wonder, therefore, that even when he is dressed in something as basic as pyjamas, he somehow manages to turn heads somehow? © Viral Bhayani Saif was recently spotted in Mumbai wearing a very basic pair of pyjamas and a t-shirt with quirky prints, something that people would normally wear to the gym, or would wear when they are chilling out at home. © Viral Bhayani What makes this outfit of his worth talking about, is his choice of accessory. With a rather seemingly basic pair of sweatpants from Superdry, Saif is wearing a rather exquisite watch from Rolex. © Viral Bhayani The particular watch that Saif is wearing is an older version (25 years, to be exact) of the Oyster Deepsea in 44 mm, and it indeed is every horologist's wet dream, simply because of how rare it is. The watch was a part of a series of watches that are designed and mainly catered for mariners and people who frequently dive deep into the sea, for scientific studies, exploration, or just for rescue and salvage operations. © Rolex With a self-winding mechanical movement, the Deepsea is capable of working rather well at a depth of 12800 feet or 3900 metres. © Viral Bhayani Like all Rolexes, the Deepsea has the Perpetual, or Rolex's patented sweeping movement. This means that the second's hand, instead of moving in the familiar tick-tock pattern of regular watches, has a sweeping and gradual motion. © Viral Bhayani The current itertion of the particular piece that we see Saif wearing is listed for Rs 8.5 Lakhs. Good luck finding the exact same piece that you see on Saif's wrist in the retail market today. Because of their high demand, and the legacy that the Deepsea has, and the rarity of piece that is in mint condition, these timepieces are extremely rare and pricey to come by. © Viral Bhayani When you consider all this and the fact that Saif is wearing the Deepsea with basic pyjamas, you can't help but notice the eccentricity of Saif's choices. All we can say is “shauk badi cheez hai…” View the full article
  10. It looks like a lot of people have started taking the precautions rolled out by the WHO (World Health Organisation) for Coronavirus seriously. With celebrity sightings each week of stars wearing masks at airports or even of people on the streets, it's almost as if the mask has become an outfit staple especially in dreadful times like these. Anil Kapoor, for instance, is definitely taking the necessary safety measures. For Malang's success party, Anil Kapoor stepped out in a well-protected flashy red mask. Take a look here: © viralbhayani If you notice carefully, the mask also has the word 'mask' printed on it. This is the signature design of the label Off-White by designer Virgil Abloh. And while this mask may seem unique to you, the interesting detail lies in its price. The mask retails for Rs 9,300 approximately. While the rest of his outfit was rather simple with a grey sweatshirt, black pants, and his black beaters, it was the mask that completely turned his look around. The party was a star studded event with Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Kunal Khemu, Shad Randhawa, Amruta Khanvilkar and director Mohit Suri also present there. Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani too had colour coordinated in red. Take a look here: © viralbhayani Besides Anil Kapoor, no one was wearing a mask though. However, it did seem like Anil Kapoor's mask did send everyone in an anxious fit, making them regret not stepping out with a mask. View the full article

Be it his look for his gigs or red carpet events or even at the airport for that matter, he clearly knows how to rise above the norm. © Viral Bhayani Aside from his popular music albums, he has also demonstrated his penchant for rich timepieces. These days he has been favouring his assemblage of Rolex watches quite a lot while travelling around the world for his gigs or public appearances. © Viral Bhayani Recently, when Nick and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were heading back to the US, they were spotted wearing quirky ensembles to the airport. They both turned up looking well co-ordinated. Nick chose to elevate his airport game with his Gucci's checkered jacket, coupled with a basic white T-shirt and pants. Add to that, his white sneakers which added a whole new dimension to his look. On the other hand, Priyanka was spotted wearing a floral shirt paired with cropped bell bottoms and black blazer. Needless to say, they know how to make a statement, even at airports. © Viral Bhayani © Rolex Nick's sense of style is not limited by norms and has extended to rev up his off-duty style with his watch choices. After wearing a super expensive watch for Ambanis' Holi Party, the recent one that we spotted on his wrist is the Rolex GMT Master II 18k Yellow Gold Black Dial. This model is designed to show different time zones, which makes it convenient during intercontinental flights. The GMT Master is a series that also has a bi-directional rotatable 24-hour graduated bezel. The golden bracelet is a perfect alchemy of style and function, that allows the wearer to increase its length for additional comfort. The watch also shows its best features in the dark, thanks to its chroma light display that makes it easier to see the time at all hours. © Rolex Naturally, since it's Rolex, this luxury watch is available approximately for $29,000 which comes to around Rs 22 lakh in Indian currency. Add to that, the import duties and customs and you would easily end up spending around Rs 29 lakh on this piece. © Viral Bhayani With that sort of shine on his wrist, Nick makes a perfect statement with his high-profile watches and shows that he is an A-lister when it comes to his collection. From his insane desert boots to equally stylish white sneakers, he has pulled off the minimalism trend like none other B-town celebrity. 14. Okay, yes, stealing is bad, but I'm still conflicted about this man because he stole for his pets, and that's a pretty damn good excuse. Basically, Tarpan Ameen, a resident of Twinland Tower in sector 1 in Navi Mumbai recently was billed Rs 7.22 Lakh after he stole electricity to keep his dogs in the comfort of air-conditioning throughout the day. Apparently, power supply firm, MSEDCL claims he has stolen electricity worth about Rs 6.98 Lakh and for that, he was fined Rs 24,000. According to one of the officials, the man had three dogs, and among them, one was a golden retriever who, he claimed, couldn't do without constant AC. The biggest question is how the hell do you steal so much electricity without getting caught? Well, it looks like he got a direct connection from the building's electricity cabin and wasn't being billed for it. He got caught after someone complained to the power body about what was happening. But, since he was now paid the full amount and even the penalty, no criminal case is being filed against him. 15. As controversial a figure that Honey Singh has been throughout his musical career, there is no denying the fact that for his fans, he truly is the Indian Rap God. His peppy beats and upbeat music (as well as his highly controversial lyrics) have indeed placed Indian Rap on the global stage, at least for the Indian diaspora. Basically, he went international, in a rather explosive way. © Instagram/yyhsofficial Naturally, like all international rappers who enjoy a massive fan following, Honey Singhâs style is all about bling and wearing stuff that is ridiculously proportioned and priced. Gold chains, golden watches, quirky and zany golden pendants, golden ear studs - you name it. © Instagram/yyhsofficial Turns out, the Punjabi rapper, who is slowly but steadily making his comeback is a huge fan of exquisite Swiss watches. There have been a number of times when he has been spotted some really exquisite Rolex and Tag Heuer pieces. However, it is one of his most recent purchases that actually caught our eye. © Viral Bhayani Honey Singh was recently spotted in Mumbai wearing a rather dope looking explorerâs watch, which was paired with a rather basic, but a quirky athleisure outfit. © Viral Bhayani Letâs get to the outfit first. Honey Singh was wearing a rather simple and basic white t-shirt from Adidas, which was paired with a pair of very loose-fitting joggers from Nike. The super-chunky sneakers, again, were a pair from Nike, the Nike Air Barrage Mid Tops. The sneakers actually are quite zany and are one of the chunkiest pairs that we have seen among major celebrity wear. © Nike Thanks to the super thick sole and the rather outlandish construction of the sneakers, specifically, the word âAirâ written on the side, the sneakers do stand out. At $180 or Rs 14,000, they arenât even that expensive, considering how often we have seen rappers and other celebrities wear pieces that retail for well over Rs 50,000. © Viral Bhayani Now, the piece de resistance, the watch that Honeyâs wearing. They are the Big Bang Unico Titanium Ceramic from the Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot. As simple as the watch looks, it is anything but simple. © Viral Bhayani The case, for example, is made of polished titanium and has a satin finish. The polished black ceramic bezel, along with titanium screws give it a very rugged appeal. The Matte Black Skeleton dial, with the exposed flyback movements and chronograph pieces, do make for an interesting and classic chronograph face. © Hublot A watch this exquisite, just like most of Honeyâs accessories surely isnât cheap. The watch is listed for 17,900 Swiss Franc or CHF. When converted at the current exchange rate, it stands at a figure just under Rs 14 Lakhs. Add to that your regular import duties and customs, and you end up with a figure thatâs well over Rs 18 Lakhs. © Viral Bhayani It indeed is one pricey way of accessorising your outfit. Indeed, it seems Honey Singh, is the king of bling. View the full article
  16. If you have been following Maniesh Paul, you for sure know that he is a massive sneakerhead, who owns some commendable pair of sneakers. Be it overly colourful shoes or jaw-droppingly expensive pair of shoes, everything that he wears at least has one striking element to it. © Instagram/Maniesh Paul The recent instance yet again shows a new pair of sneakers from his lot that we scoured and found details about. While Maniesh is decked from head-to-toe in a street-style inspired outfit, what actually took us by surprise, were his joggers, that are definitely unconventional and above the normcore status quo. Here's why we say that: © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani These Black Rainbow Pants are by Palm Angels. What makes them stand out are the bright rainbow coloured stripes on the sides. Add to that, the extra-long silhouette and the side zipper makes it even more appealing. © Palm Angels © Palm Angels As comfy as these pants are, the price of it can easily make one raise their eyebrows. These are available on Palm Angels website for Rs 48,000. Luckily, this includes customs and import duties, which means you won't have to bear the extra cost if you plan on buying then. Even though the whole ensemble is quite zany, his rainbow pants outclassed every other detail with its unexpected details. Moving on to his sneakers, he is wearing Nike Air Uptempo '96 White/Varsity Red sneakers. The reason why these sneakers are called 'Uptempo' is due to the increased pace it grants during the basketball game. The refreshed style comes with Air embossed on them, offering maximum support and cushioning while playing. © Viral Bhayani These sneakers can be bought for as cheap as Rs 10,000 at the moment. They are available with many e-tailers and these are truly budget-goals sneakers that Maniesh has worn. Sartorially speaking, the red hoodie with bold Adidas lettering brings in more suaveness to the overall look. The way he is sporting the Gucci Fanny Pack is yet another great way to elevate airport style with such a laid-back outfit. All in all, an uber-cool and innovative way to deck up. Just love it! 17. Both Huawei and its sub-brand Honor went through a rough patch in 2019 when the US ban was imposed. They've been fairly quiet with their launches in the country since then. But it looks like Honor is ready to bounce back in the market and they've kicked things off with the Honor 9X. The Honor 9X was launched in India last month and it's ready to go head-to-head with the likes of Xiaomi, Realme and more, with a starting price that's less than Rs 15,000. But is it really worth buying the Honor 9X in India now? Well, I've been using the top-end variant of Honor 9X for quite some time now and here's what I make of it. Design & Build Quality I've always been a huge fan of what Honor does when it comes to the design of its phones. I've enjoyed using both the Honor 8 and the Honor 8X that came back this phone and I had nothing but good things to say about their design. Well, the Honor 9X is no different. I've been using the Sapphire Blue variant of the phone, which looks something like this - © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer Looks pretty awesome, doesn't it? You are looking at a plastic back with this unique pattern that's made to look like an X. Obviously, it's not a design that's going to impress everyone, but I think it looks pretty good. If you want a subtle tone, then you might want to check out the black variant of the phone. I wouldn't say it feels super premium since it's a plastic back, but it's not something to complain about, especially at this price range. You'll also see a fingerprint scanner at the back, which works just as advertised. There's a single firing speaker at the bottom and I'd say it's just average at best. There's also a headphone jack right next to the USB Type-C port. You know what? I am a huge fan of both of those things and I am glad Honor has decided to add that here at this price range. The phone also packs a decent sized battery inside, but it's not that heavy. It's very comfortable to hold and use. It's a fairly big phone, so you might have issues using it with one hand. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer Overall, the Honor 9X is a really good looking phone in my opinion. Yes, the design is not for everyone, but it's not bad by any means. It's got everything you need on a phone, including the long-lost headphone jack, so there's nothing much to complain about. Display On the front, the Honor 9X sports a 6.59-inch LCD with a resolution of 2,340x1,080. Unlike most other phones these days, the Honor 9X doesn't have a notch or a punch-hole. Instead, it sports a pop-up selfie shooter. Well, I don't really like phones with a pop-up selfie camera, but it's there and it works well. © MensXp/Karthik Iyer Coming back to the display, it's a sharp-looking panel and it's also big enough for media consumption. But it's not an AMOLED panel, so the colors aren't punchy. It gets bright enough to be used outdoors, but there's nothing much. During my usage, I used the phone to stream movies and TV shows from my Plex server, play video games, etc. and I'd say it was an enjoyable experience. The overall quality is definitely good enough to justify the price Performance The Honor 9X is powered by the in-house Kirin 710F chipset and it comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Like I mentioned earlier, I've been using the top-end variant of the phone with 6GB of RAM, which is on par with most phones these days. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer The Kirin 710F chipset is more or less on-par with the Snapdragon 730 SoC, which is used on the Redmi K20 and the Realme XT. So, how's the phone's performance? During my usage, which I'd say is pretty heavy, the Honor 9X managed to hold up pretty well. I couldn't find anything to complain about while using the phone to casually browse social media. I used the Honor 9X exclusively for Twitter and checking out my daily list of websites that I follow, and it was a pretty good experience. Even when it comes to gaming, the Honor 9X managed to show pretty promising results. You may not be able to play PUBG Mobile on high settings and get good frames, but it works well. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer If there's one thing that I don't like about the phone, then it's got to be the software. The Honor 9X runs on EMUI 9 that's based on Android 9. I don't mind using a skinned version of Android, but the EMUI is just too much for me. It's not as snappy as some other phones in this price range, which hinders the experience. There are a ton of pre-installed apps as well out of the box. Yes, it might come in handy for some people, but I think there should be an option to opt out of it. I'd also like to take a moment and point out that this phone is still not running on the latest version of Android i.e. Android 10. And apart from that, I am not even sure if it'll continue to get any major Android updates as such because of everything that the company went through last year. But strictly speaking about the performance, I don't have any complaints about the phone. I just wish the software experience was a little better than what we get here. Camera © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer The Honor 9X sports a triple-camera setup at the back which includes a 48MP sensor, an 8MP super wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there's a pop-up camera with a 16MP sensor. You also get a ton of software features inside EMUI 9 that can be used to make different kinds of shots. So, is the camera good? Yes, the Honor 9X can definitely take some good-looking pictures. I really like the fact that the pictures taken from the 48MP sensor don't take much time to process. It's almost an immediate response, which is great. The images taken during day time have good details and pretty accurate colors. The AI mode will enhance the pictures a little bit, but it's not too bad. The shots are pretty good enough to be shared on social media without any tweaking. You also get "Pro" mode which you can use to play around with the settings and get the shot right. There's also a night mode, which I'd say works pretty well. You can check out the images that I shot during my testing below - Battery Life The battery life is one of the strong suits of the Honor 9X. It packs a 4,000mAh battery, which is more or less what you get on budget phones these days. The battery life of the Honor 9X is good enough to easily last through an entire working day, even with heavy usage. I go hard on usage while testing phones and it was indeed a little hard to kill the battery of the Honor 9X in a day. It's actually pretty good because it takes almost two hours to fully charge the Honor 9X if you're running really low. That's a bummer because there are other phones in the market that support faster charging speeds. The Final Say The Honor 9X has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant. The variant that I've been using will cost you Rs 16,999. At that price, you're getting a phone that looks pretty good and has a decent performance. Yes, battery life is also pretty good, but there's also a lot to complain about. The Honor 9X is a good upgrade from the Honor 8X, but it's worth mentioning that there are a lot of other good phones in this price range now, especially from Xiaomi and Realme. You're essentially missing out things like a good AMOLED panel, 64MP camera and an even beefier battery with faster-charging support found on phones like the Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Realme XT. Take all that into consideration, and the Honor 9X will start to lose its charm. I feel like the Honor 9X is a little too late to enter the market here in India. No doubt it's a good phone that won't disappoint you at any point. It's just that there are better phones available in this price range that offer much better specs to price ratio. So unless you're a hardcore Honor fanboy wanting to splurge some money, I'd say you should check out the other options as well. View the full article
  18. Leave it up to Shahid Kapoor and he will show you some zany ways to elevate your sartorial statement with a pair of sneakers. Every pair from his sneaker collection has an extravagant element to it. Sometimes they are overly chunky or he wears sneakers that look like a failed science experiment. With so many stylish instances, it is established that he is a true sneaker god. © Lyst At the moment, oversized silhouettes with a quirky message are in rage. Shahid's powder blue hoodie says 'There's No Future For You' at the back. This hood is by Haculla and it features a hood with drawstring fastening and kangaroo pockets. Furthermore, this versatile style also has a distressed finish and a loose fit. While this hoodie looks super relaxed, his bouncy, oversized sneakers, on the other hand, took his overall debonair a notch higher. Take a look: © Lyst He is wearing Valentino Garavani's Bounce Lace-up Sneakers. 19. Much like his acting chops, Rana Daggubatiâs sense of style is very nuanced - unlike most of his brethren from the Indian film industries, be it Bollywood or Tollywood, he does not dress overtly flamboyantly, and yet manages to turn heads wherever he goes. © Instagram/ranadaggubati An immaculate grooming routine for an extensive and a really impressive beard style, a tall and lean built, all of this contribute immensely to any ensemble that he picks. © Instagram/ranadaggubati Time and again, he has been spotted in one classy outfit the other, which, to be honest, is something that every guy should cop or at least try once. From a very basic ensemble comprising of a white full-sleeved t-shirt with dark wash denim, to an elegant, white shirt with a white sarong, the guy knows what works for him and what doesnât, that is, if any such thing actually exists. © Viral Bhayani Naturally then, when it comes to streetwear, he has worn some of the best outfits and ensembles we have seen. With that being said, his most recent, casual and laidback ensemble is what caught our eye. It was actually his sneakers that we couldnât take our eyes off of. © Viral Bhayani But first, letâs get to his outfit. Rana here is wearing very basic grey joggers with a black, v-neck tee and a cargo shirt in sage green. The outfit, as expected, isnât that flamboyant, and can be easily missed, sort of like white noise. However, Rana looks extremely dapper in the outfit, thanks to his lean built, that godly beard and some very dope accessories, namely the shades and the watch. © Viral Bhayani As basic the outfit is, it is really uplifted by the generous manner in which he has accessorised himself. And then there are the sneakers themselves. They look like they are a part of the uniform of some paramilitary force. The sneakers that Rana is wearing are the LeBron Soldier 13 SFG from Nike. Now, normally, they look like clown shoes thanks to their zany and insane colours. Imagine the most outlandish neon colours that there are - you can find a pair that has one of those colours. © Viral Bhayani A pair in all black, like the one that Ranaâs wearing does bring out the silhouette of the sneakers and give it a very menacing appeal. We also like the super aggressive looking straps and buckles that the sneakers are adorned with. © Viral Bhayani Considering how technical they look, the Lebron 13s arenât actually that expensive. These have been listed just shy of Rs 12,000 on Nike, so you can easily pick them up for much less if you play your cards right. A bargain if you ask us, considering how often we have seen celebs go bonkers with their sneakers. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All in all, a really good, achievable and practical lesson in street style.
