RJ Naved Called A Criminal Lawyer To Know About Rape Laws And It's His Best Call Till Date

RJ naved has been making listeners laugh and how. His comic timing is impeccable and his mimicking abilities are just in place to make us smile as we sit in traffic on dreary evenings while returning from work every day. But there's a serious side to the popular RJ as well, one that is acutely conscientious and socially responsible. Naved has time and again expressed his concerns over the gross violence against women in our society.

Following the recent spine-chilling rape cases of Kathua and Unnao, RJ Naved decided to help throw more light on the issue. He called up a criminal lawyer and talked to him about the rape laws that exist in our country.

It is crucial to note here that our laws still don't recognize forced marital *** as rape. In a country, where child marriage is very much a reality and domestic violence is rampant, the law seems as archaic as Sati.

As the criminal lawyer informs Naved that it takes about 2-3 years for a rape accused to be punished, the RJ lets young girls to come up and put questions to the lawyer. As the little girls ask him about how to save themselves from getting raped, the questions keep getting more innocent and heartbreaking. One of them asks, “Uncle rapist dikhne mein kaise hote hain?”, while another asks him what clothes she should wear so as to avoid rape.

People were moved to tears after listening to the call:

RJ Naved Calls Up Lawyer To Ask About Rape Laws

These questions answer themselves and just the fact that little girls are aware of a disgusting crime such as rape and see themselves as potential victims is the most heartbreaking thing ever. We have failed as a society.

Whether you have a little sister or a daughter or any woman in your life, this is a chilling wakeup call that our women are not safe. Share this as much as possible.
