Even if the world has been evolving in terms of technology and economy, we are still struggling to build a world where humanity exists in a beautiful form, and humans can co-exist regardless of what culture and religion they preach.
Vishvajit Singh is one such person who is doing his bit in fighting bigotry, one day at a time. Called as the 'Sikh Captain America', this turbanator is preaching compassion which is a lesson for everyone to learn.

Even though he was born and brought up in the US, the 9/11 attacks pushed him and many other Sikhs into the ugliness of name calling. In an interview, he explained the struggle of surviving the whole cultural stigma.
“Post 9/11 was a very difficult period for somebody who looked like me because a lot of Americans who were feeling insecure, anxious, angry — natural feelings after a tragedy like that — they projected their insecurities and vulnerabilities onto me. Within hours I had people who were giving me nasty looks and I had to work from home for the next two weeks. When I did step out, everybody — just about everybody, was giving me looks, calling me names; told me to go back home,” Singh said.

The Sikh community is known for its compassion and efforts of building peace across the globe, and while bigotry and discrimination are not restricted to just one community, it is important that all of us raise our voices and build a world for ourselves where we can happily breathe in harmony.
We definitely need more social superheroes like Captain Sikh America. More power to him!
