The duo grew closer when they started shooting for Ayan Mukherji's 'Brahmastra' in Bulgaria, where apparently, Ranbir had asked Alia out on New Year's Eve last year.

Finally, all the rumors were put to rest when Ranbir publicly confirmed that he was indeed dating Alia.

Every time he speaks about Alia he seems to be truly content. Recently, in an interview with Film Companion, he spoke about his feelings and said, "Falling in love is the greatest thing in the world, the greatest feeling in the world."

Acting like a teenager who is besotted, he even went ahead and said something as cheesy as, “When you fall in love, everything is great, even water tastes like sherbet! You feel great.”

Clearly, Ranbir is in love again and it is great to see how he is being so vocal about it. Not only does he seem to be happy, but he is also not shying away from talking openly about his lady love.

“It (love) does to me as a human being. That's who I am. If I feel good about myself, the day, waking up in the morning and going to work, it's because life is great and love makes life great," he said.

And the praises just don't stop here. Ranbir even credited Alia for bringing positivity and optimism into his life.

In a recent interview, he said, "I think every human being does extraordinary things only when they are in love. So, I believe that love is something which is a privilege if it comes in your life and to be in a happy, beautiful positive place. A relationship could be with a girl, a guy, with a friend your mother your father or anybody but when there is some genuine love, it's really beautiful."
