The Rock gets into his iron paradise, shuts the world out and it's just him and the iron. When he hits the weight, he just doesn't hit, he kills it. The man's known for his massive legs. You know what that demands, hard core leg workouts, back to back for years. Here's an excerpt from The Rock's documented workout (whatever he has posted till now). Try this and let us know if you survive.
Pit Shark Belt SquatA post shared by therock (@therock) on May 8, 2018 at 11:20am PDT
This sounds pretty fancy but you can replace it with a front squat on the smith machine. This particular squatting variation, the load sits right between your legs rather than on the back. This placement of the weight makes the centre of gravity much more in line with hanging weight and thus, loads the legs extremely well.
4 Sets – 8-12 reps each
Leg PressA post shared by therock (@therock) on Oct 13, 2015 at 9:20pm PDT
Dwayne loves leg pressing. It is a killer strength and hypertrophy exercises indeed. But while hitting this, please keep in mind that you are not Dwayne and you can't press the weight he can. Tank your ego and do the best weight you can with top form.
3 Sets- 8-12 reps
Back SquatA post shared by therock (@therock) on Apr 1, 2018 at 4:22pm PDT
No legs are built without the good old back squatting. So here, The Rock does it and so should you. Though it's a pretty common exercise but also is the most butchered. We have a ton of articles on how to correctly squat, so please feel free.
3 Sets, 8-12 reps
Walking LungesA post shared by therock (@therock) on May 28, 2018 at 6:47am PDT
One of the best quadriceps and glute developer, this is a staple in Rock's leg dat arsenal. Again, don't let your ego drive the weight. Let your relative strength do that.
3 sets - 9-12
Inspiration Is Good. Imitation Isn't.
It's good to look up to guys like The Rock but you also need to UNDERSTAND the fact that it took Rock over 3 decades to reach this level of training mastery. If you try to move the weights he does, you will move quicker into hospital ward than into the training hall of fame.
