Apple has finally announced the three iPhones that were rumoured all year and it seems like everything that was rumoured, has almost come true. The new smartphones don't have any major changes but the smartphones do have upgrades that will make the new iPhones better and faster than ever before.
Here are some features we love on the upcoming iPhones this year:Bigger, Better Screens
The new Super Retina displays on the new iPhones will pack more pixels than its predecessor and also offer 60 per cent more dynamic range. The iPhone XS will sport the same 5.8-inch OLED display while the XS Max will have a massive 6.5-inch display that will have 3.3 million pixels.Massive Storage
For the very first time, Apple will not be offering an iPhone that will have 512 GB internal storage. That is more than enough to store thousands of pictures, music, videos and apps. It does cost a bomb for this variant, however, we feel it will be a worthy investment.Improved Cameras
iPhones are touted to have one of the best smartphone cameras and it seems like Apple will be offering some major upgrades in this department.
The iPhone XS and XS Max will have the same vertical camera setup as the iPhone X. It will have a 12MP wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens.
Having said that, the new iPhones will have better and more powerful sensors that will be able to take clearer pictures in low light environments. The selfie camera has a 2x faster sensor and better red-eye reduction thanks to the A12 bionic chipset. The A12 Bionic Chip
We all know Apple makes some of the best chipsets for the iPhone and the A12 bionic processor is no exception. The SoC is a 7nm chip that has an “8-core dedicated machine-learning engine to analyse neural network data” According to Apple, it can process 5 trillion operations per second which is major leap when compared to the A11's 600 billion operations per second. This will enable apps to open 30 per cent faster while using less power.Improved Portrait Shots
Thanks to iOS 12, you will now be able to adjust the level of blur in your portrait shots. We've seen this feature before on the Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 9 and other Samsung smartphones, however, it is always great to see this feature make it to iPhones. Users will be able to adjust the depth of field in a picture after it has been taken.Better Water Resistance
The iPhone XS and XS Max now have a water resistance of IP68, which means the smartphone is now dust-proof and can remain submerged under water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. That's a major improvement of previous iPhone's IP67 rating.Dual Sim
The iPhone XS and XS max will also have dual-SIM technology where it will use one physical SIM card and one eSIM.
Apple calls it the Dual Sim Dual Standby (DSDS) and will essentially allow users to use two phone numbers at the same time. This is probably the most requested feature by users in India and China and we finally see this feature making a debut on Apple devices.
