Since Crackers Are Banned This Year, The Internet's Celebrating Diwali By Cracking These Jokes

Today is Diwali and I don't think I need to remind you that, because the unending stream of WhatsApp forwards and stickers must have already done the job of informing, I mean wishing you. Diwali is the festival that teaches us the value of the "what goes around comes around." Yes, you guessed it right. We're talking about the soan-papdi dabbas and crockery sets and bowls, which eventually end up in our hands after we passed it forward to our friends and relatives.

Internet Is Celebrating Diwali By Cracking These JokesWikimedia

Seriously, who named this festival Diwali and not 'passing the parcel game' instead? But Diwali is not just about circulating soan-papdi dabbas, it's also a festival of lights, rangolis, dressing up for selfies and for some. it's an occasion to burst firecrackers. But, since firecrackers have been banned and restricted in some areas this year, Twitter has come up with an interesting way of celebrating Diwali.

I am not talking about gathering at Connaught Place to shout Thain Thain. Being the savage platform that Twitter is, it decided to crack hilarious jokes and memes instead, and the result is dhamaakedar, to say the least.
