In what is turning out to be a scintillating tournament, the ICC Women's World T20 has finally found its semifinalists following some exciting contests in the group stage. While West Indies will be seen locking horns against Australia in the first semifinal, the Indian women's team will take on England in the second. And, the winners from the two crucial games will fight for the coveted trophy in the summit clash on 25th November.

Ahead of the first semifinal, the ICC put out a poll on Twitter to ask fans who they thought would contest the all-important World T20 final. The governing body listed out four options: West Indies vs India, West Indies vs England, Australia vs India, Australia vs England.

While many cricket fans voted for their favourite option, the ones from Pakistan targetted the ICC for leaving out their national team from the Twitter poll. Irked by their team's omission, the Pakistan cricket fans began trolling the ICC and some even expressed their surprise at how the international governing council can leave out the No. 1 ranked side in T20Is.

Taking note of the barrage of tweets coming from the Pakistan cricket fans, the ICC clarified their stance with a savage reply - one that they'll not forget for a long time.

The four options listed out by the ICC in its Twitter poll were derived from the semifinalists who had progressed further in tournament. Surprisingly, the Pakistan cricket fans didn't realise that their national team crashed out of the tournament after losing to New Zealand in the group stage.

The Pakistan cricket fans also misunderstood their No. 1 T20I ranking which is held by the men's side, and not women's who are currently languishing at the seventh spot. 

In what eventually turned out to be a forgettable tournament for Pakistan, the women's side had a tough time in their group where they were placed alongside Australia, India, New Zealand and Ireland. The team was completely outplayed by their opponents, winning just one match (against Ireland) and losing three in Group B.
