The biggest wedding of the year just took place, and the country is still under the spell of the magical ceremony that took place at Lake Como in Italy. While all of us waited for the pictures for 2 whole days, and didn't even get a lot of them, fans were still ecstatic about how perfect Deepika and Ranveer looked as a married couple.

Ranveer has never been 'run-of-the-mill' in terms of anything he does, and he kept his streak of flamboyant badassery on even during his wedding, much to the delight of his fans. Here are 4 unique things he did, that redefined the style game for Indian grooms.

1. He wrote Deepika's name on his hands with Mehendi. While brides usually hide the groom's name inside their mehendi designs, Ranveer went all the way and wrote Deepika's name in Hindi, on his palm.

2. He wore a pair of white sneakers with a gorgeous Sabyasachi sherwani. You won't expect one to pair an intricate Sherwani like this one with a statement pair of white sneakers, but of course, Ranveer makes his own rules.

3. Ranveer made sure that his outfits match that of Deepika's in every occasion - right from the wedding to the airport, when they came back to India, adding extra weight on #couplegoals that they already are.

4. Even though grooms everywhere are rather hesitant in terms of putting on jewellery, Ranveer held his own during the wedding. He wore signature Sabyasachi heritage jewellery, replete with garnets, diamonds, and emeralds. He wore an enormous falcon pendant as well, that set the benchmark for all the other grooms out there. After all, both partners should be equal in a marriage, even symbolically, and he clearly believes that.
