Australian cricketers Steve Smith and David Warner, who are currently in the middle of a year-long suspension for the infamous case of ball-tampering during the Test series against South Africa in 2018, will be eligible to play in all formats of the game in the next three months, as their ban is scheduled to get lifted on 28th March 2019.
Meanwhile, their partner in crime, Cameron Bancroft is still waiting for an official contract after his 9-month-ban got over in November 2018.View this post on Instagram
Thanks everyone for the messages. I had a great time last night. I'm very humbled to receive the AB medal. I don't play the game for personal accolades but at the same time I'm glad I've been able to contribute in some way to the success of the Australian cricket team.

Until then, they are to be kept completely separate from Cricket Australia, the governing body for all of professional and amateur cricket in Australia, and all their activities.
The Cricket Australia awards, which CA will be hosting on 11th February 2019, is considered to be the most prestigious awards and is a platform used to honour the best performers, and those who have provided exceptional service to the game of cricket in Australia by immortalising their names in the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
The ban on the above-mentioned players therefore also extends to each and every event the authority organises, including the Cricket Australia Awards.View this post on Instagram

Smith, Warner and Bancroft have not been invited to the award ceremony as currently, they are not under any contract with the cricket governing body.
These awards are completely based on a voting system which was heavily dominated by Steve Smith and David Warner in the past four years sharing the Allan Border medal which is the highest honour an active cricketer could win, along with a couple of ODI and Test match accolades.
Whatever votes that were acquired by the trio will stand valid, however, due to the fact that they were suspended for a specific period of time and not a definite number of matches, they will not be eligible for any of the awards.
