Hawaldar Raju Rawat of 56 Engineer unit of the Indian Army was posted in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh and was a celebrated canoe player in Army before life took a you turn on him a few years ago.

Hailing from Uttarakhand, Raju became a well known name after he was selected to represent India in the Asian Games finale in 2014. But things changed in 2015 when Raju was diagnosed with cancer following a bout of pain and discomfort.
