One of the proven all-rounders in limited-overs cricket, Ravindra Jadeja continued to add value to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during their six-wicket triumph over Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on 26th March.
The 30-year-old rattled the stumps to send Keemo Paul packing before finishing with impressive figures of 1-23 against Delhi last night. In the batting department, Chennai didn't need Jadeja's services with the willow as Shane Watson (44) and MS Dhoni (32*) took the visitors home with two balls to spare.
Earlier in the opening match, Jadeja made merry on the raging turner at the MA Chidambaram stadium where he finished with figures of 2-15. Apart from taking the wickets of Colin de Grandhomme and Umesh Yadav, Jadeja was also electric on the field, taking two key catches to get rid of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.
With three wickets in his kitty so far, Jadeja occupied the third position in the list of leading wicket-takers in the ongoing season. He is only behind his teammates Dwayne Bravo (4 wickets) and Imran Tahir (4 wickets) who currently dons the 'Purple Cap'.
Also, the fact that four CSK bowlers - Tahir, Bravo, Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh - currently leads the list of leading wicket-takers in the tournament, goes on to show the bowling prowess of Dhoni-led side which is taking huge strides in their title defence.
