Ever since the biopic on PM Modi was announced, things have been going downhill for the film. First, Twitter had a field day churning out memes, then the Election Commission put a ban on the film's release until elections were over, and later the trailer of the film was taken off YouTube. After almost drowning in the ocean of controversies, the biopic on PM Modi is now releasing on May 24, a day after the results of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2019 will be announced. Vivek Oberoi too posted about the same on social media.

Producer Sandip Ssingh posted on social media about the same, with the caption "We come again fighting all the roadblocks & hurdles coming in our way! #PMNarendraModi now in cinemas from 24th May." According to reports, Ssingh said "As a responsible citizen, we respect the law of the country. After a lot of discussions and given the curiosity and excitement about the film, we have decided to release the film immediately after the Lok Sabha election results (to be announced on May 23)."

He further added, "I hope now nobody will have any problem with the film and we are hoping for a smooth release," he added.

Directed by Omung Kumar, the movie also stars Boman Irani and Zarina Wahab.
