Not every parent in the world is supportive of his or her childâs dreams and actor Irrfan Khanâs mother was also not very keen on him wanting to chase his passion for acting.
In an interview with the Times Of India, Irrfan said he wished his mother would have behaved the same way his character does in his upcoming movie, Angrezi Medium when his daughter wants to follow her passion and study abroad.

Irrfanâs character in Angrezi Medium goes all out to ensure that his daughter gets to study in an esteemed institution in London but this wasnât the case in his own life.
âMy child in Angrezi Medium loses her mother when she is very young. I wasnât. Mine was a crisis of whether to pursue my dream or take care of my responsibility. For Champak (the character in Angrezi Medium) the dilemma is whether to let my daughter chase her dream or not, perhaps it would have been my fatherâs dilemma if he was alive. The crisis is of the father, not of the child, in this scenario. My mother was sure she wanted me not to chase my dream and stay with her, which, I recall, gave me a heartache. The culmination of Champakâs decision is perhaps what I would have wanted my mother to do. Let the child fly,â said the actor.

After this statement, we are beyond intrigued to see Champak's character in Angrezi Medium. Everyone knows how deep a mother's love is for her child. But how far can a father go? That is something we would love to see.
