Are people even listening to what the government or WHO has been going on about for days or have they turned a deaf ear to all of the guidelines? How difficult is it to not hide that you are having symptoms related to Coronavirus? How difficult is it to understand that social distancing is the need of the hour? Wondering why I am ranting?

Well, Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive and the worst part is, according to sources, she refrained from informing authorities about her travel history. Upon arriving in Lucknow, Kanika hosted a lavish party for her friends and family at a five-star hotel.

After the reports started to go viral, Kanika Kapoor finally decided to announce it to the world that she had been infected. She wrote on Instagram, âFor the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well.â

But this move came after reports went viral and Twitter users started to blast her for showing a lapse in judgment. One of the users also went on to share a video where the hospital ambulance had arrived at her place to take her to the isolation ward.

Despite the repeated requests by the government, people don't seem to be taking the instructions laid down seriously. We can't assert the importance of social distancing and the need to self-quarantine during this time enough and such cases further highlight how it can be risky to not isolate yourself.
