Brad Pitt Played Dr Fauci, USAs COVID-19 Expert & Reminded Us Why We Shouldnt Inject Disinfectants

Back in the October of 1997, actor Brad Pitt was interviewed by Time Magazine and had quite a few things to say - one of which was âYou shouldn't speak until you know what you're talking about.â

Itâs safe to say that over 23 years since then, things havenât changed too much - at least with respect towards US President Donald Trump. After a tenure filled with obscene scandals, PR blunders and more recently, a COVID-19 strategy thatâs been the subject of worldwide criticism, the actor decided to put his money where his mouth is, and the result is as poignant as it is hilarious.

Recording remotely for Saturday Night Live (SNL),  Pitt took a jab at the Trump administrationâs inability to heed the real Dr. Fauciâs warnings - who, as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has urged the government to double testing rates and in a nutshell, take the virus much more seriously than it has so far.

The video was uploaded a few days after Fauci himself answered in an interview that heâd love Brad Pitt to play him, if he was ever featured as a movie character.

Out of the worldâs 2.95 million cases, nearly 1/3rd belong to the US, which is yet to properly enforce national lockdown guidelines.

On social media, Pittâs hilarious video shot straight to the top of the charts - drawing widespread cheer and support from disgruntled Americans and fans from across the world.

The opening sketch of SNL's second at-home episode featured Brad Pitt as Dr. Anthony Fauci, who had joked earlier this month on CNN about the possibility of this very castinghttps://t.co/AAfHHHlzvq

Why do I get the hunch that this Brad Pitt SNL video will piss Trump off more than the 54,000 deceased Americans?

Awesome Job, Brad!pic.twitter.com/tiVeQ0e62K#SundayMorning

Users went up in arms against Trump, following Pittâs lead:

While an army of Trumpâs own supporters and other detractors rallied up in support against Pitt:

Brad Pitt has come down with a case of what we know in the industry as "Jon Hamm disease." A handsome man desperate to be in comedy sketches. You hate to see it pic.twitter.com/RHDfpC40xM

In times like these, itâs best to wrap up by continuing that old quote from Pitt.

âI get uncomfortable with interviews. Reporters ask me what I feel China should do about Tibet. Who cares what I think China should do? I'm a f---ing actor! They hand me a script. I act. I'm here for entertainment. Basically, when you whittle everything away, I'm a grown man who puts on makeup.â

If only other men in power had the kind of worldview Pitt had in his mid-thirties.
