Earlier this month, Samsung announced a new accessory to keep your phones and other accessories clean and safe. Yes, Samsung's UV Sterilizer. Well, guess what? It's now available in India and you can get one for yourself.

For those of you who don't know, Samsung UV Sterilizer, as the name suggests, will effectively kill 99% of bacteria and germs.  The UV Sterilizer is manufactured by Samsung C&T, a partner of the Samsung Mobile Accessory Partnership Program (SMAPP), and is designed to fit a variety of device sizes so you can sterilize many of the products you use the most.

Samsung has launched the UV Sterilizer in India for Rs 3,599, which we think is a great price for something that's so useful. Obviously, it's not proven to kill the Coronavirus and keep you safe from that, but we think keeping your phone and other accessories bacteria and germ-free are just as important. 

And besides that, there are some reports out there claiming that UV light is indeed effective against the Coronavirus, so why not?

It'll be available starting next month at retail channels and Samsung's online store too.
