Arguably one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) over the years have managed to live up to the reputation as the team to beat in the Twenty20 (T20) tournament. With three titles to their name, Chennai was once again expected to challenge for the throne this season.
Despite enduring a series of blows in the build-up to the IPL, the Chennai brigade began their campaign with an emphatic win over arch-rivals Mumbai Indians (MI), making their intentions pretty clear. But then came a slump.
Losing three games on the trot, Chennai didn't just look hapless, they even found themselves lying at a lowly eighth position in the points table.

Thanks to a much-needed win, that came against Punjab, Chennai currently find themselves at the sixth spot with two wins and three losses in five games, so far.
They will be eager to carry the winning momentum when they take the field against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their next match in Abu Dhabi on 7th October.
