The IPL season is on in full swing – and those live matches are the perfect mix of talent, the edge of the seat excitement, and well, eye candy!

I mean, we have some stunningly handsome cricketers walking the pitch, rocking those runs and turning up the heat. After Pollard, Dinesh Karthik and Krunal, the latest player to stir up the social media platform by shaving and styling his beard is Faf Du Plessis showing off his perfectly chiselled jawline.

This IPL season, some of our favourite cricketers have decided to shave, style and #BreakTheBeard, and boy, they are setting some serious grooming goals for men. From a French beard to a Van Dyke, cricketers are going all-out experimenting with different styles and we aren't complaining!

We’ve been watching Karthik’s beard transformation video on loop – that strapping Van Dyke with a neat chin strap and slickly parted hair bagged a 10/10 from us. His wife and fans definitely couldn’t hold back their surprise and appreciation started to pour in.

Pro Tip – the Van Dyke works best for men with an oval face type. It strikes the perfect balance between a prominent beard and highlighted features. Opt for it to look gentlemanly while getting to flaunt your narrow cheekbones and tapering jawline.

Pollard gave up his standard mane for a French Beard – and boy did it work wonders. Trust a well-styled French Beard to add attitude, minus years and multiply the charm on your face.

Wondering what’s a ‘Zappa’? Inspired by the iconic musician Frank Zappa, this style is all about a thick moustache and prominent chin patch.

We were totally bowled over by Krunal Pandya’s take on the Zappa – he nailed it. Right from his crew cut to snazzy accessories, the Zappa elevates the entire look several notches higher. Natasa, Hardik and his MI teammates are all giving a thumbs up to this style

Pro Tip – Men with a round and diamond face type can easily sport a Zappa! It’ll add depth and mystery to your face.

CSK’s Faf Du Plessis wowed us with his sharp goatee and stache - this masterly beard style grabbed all eyeballs (and praises!) but didn’t overshadow his chiselled features either. We’d 10/10 recommend this beard style for a mature and crafty upgrade to your demeanour. 

Pro Tip – a well-groomed moustache and goatee are cut out for the square face. An elongated goatee will add dimension to your face, making it look lean and long.
