This Man Sued His Internet Date For $17 Because She Was Texting During Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

This must look as ridiculous as it sounds but I kind of understand why people get annoyed by movie watching texters. A man has broken the internet for suing his date after he saw her text on her mobile phone as they were watching the new Marvel movie ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’. You simply do not text during “Guardians” ok? If my date did that in front of me, I would ask the person to leave the theatre and come back once they are done with their texting shenanigans.

America is infamous for ridiculous lawsuits; however, it makes a little hard for us to decide who to root for. On one hand, you have an annoying texter and on the other a man who wants to enjoy his movie in peace.

Man Sues Date for Texting During Movie© Marvel

The man in question is Brandon Vezmar, 37, a native of Austin, Texas who described the date as "kind of a first date from hell.” The girl defended herself by saying that it was only two to three texts to a friend who was apparently fighting with her boyfriend.

What seems quite realistic about the lawsuit is that the man is asking for $17.31( INR 1,109) in rebate which was the exact cost of the movie ticket. Even the director of the movie, James Gunn, decided to voice his opinion (jokingly) about the entire incident.

Why stop at suing? She deserves jail time! https://t.co/c41MWGz74M

In fact, one of his followers came up with a hilarious suggestion as well

@JamesGunn Make her sit through #BatmanvsSuperman

Just remember folks, the next time just step out of the theatre to text something urgent? It might save you $17.
