The first look of the upcoming drama series ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ is finally here! This will be the first new Star Trek TV series in over 16 years.
A prequel series, this TV show will take place a decade before the events of 1966’s original ‘Star Trek’ and will focus on the USS Discovery as they discover new worlds and civilizations. It has Sonequa Martin-Green as a First Officer on the starship along with Michelle Yeoh and Jason Isaacs as starship captains.

In the trailer, we get our first look of Martin-Green as the first officer of The Discovery, who is apparently a human raised by Vulcans, according to her conversations with Sarek. The Discovery then appears to stumble upon an unknown object which is at the edge of Federation space, which ends up leading to a conflict with the Klingons.

The show is coming out later this year, and in true ‘Star Trek’ fashion, most of the plot and other details have been kept under wraps, until now.
Along with the 15 episodes, the first season will also consist of an after-show called ‘Talking Trek’.
