If you’ve ever watched the ‘Lord of The Rings’ trilogy and wanted to bust up some serious Orc skulls, then we’ve got the perfect game for you guys. We here at MensXP spent a lot of time exploring the imagination of J.R.R Tolkien in Monolith’s 2014 game of the year, ‘Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor’.

In that amazing third person game, you play as Talion, a ranger who is drawn into a reluctant war with the forces of Sauron after his wife and child were brutally murdered by the Dark Lord’s forces. He is joined by the wraith of the Elven Lord Celebrimbor in his mission to destroy the forces of Sauron.

The game was a third person, hack and slash brawler with the innovative Nemesis system thrown in, for good measure. You fight, crush, and tear your way through a bunch of Orcs and Uruk Hai using your sword, arrows and the wraith’s special powers. The game was an unexpected success and just like that we’ve now got an amazing sequel to look out for.

The much awaited sequel, ‘Middle-Earth: Shadow of War’ sees the game take on a larger map and more varied enemies such as trolls. The battles look blood and brutal and as far as we’re concerned, we can wait to decapitate the hell out of the Dark Lord’s forces. Unlike the movies, the game is dark, terrifying and bloody as ****!
