With the release date just around the corner, Universal has unveiled one final trailer for their reboot of ‘The Mummy’ and it looks incredible. 

The trailer is packed with creepy supernatural thrills and a lot of action, and it perfectly reminds us that it’s not just a new movie, but a starting point of a whole new series of monster movies.

The trailer shows Nick Morton, played by Tom Cruise, wake up without a single scratch after a plane crash, and is told that the only reason he is alive is because he has been cursed "by the ultimate evil."

Dr. Jekyll, played by Russell Crowe, tell his that ‘It takes a monster to defeat a monster’, referencing Morton being something of a monster himself as he faces off against The Mummy. In the movie, Cruise’s character will go toe to toe with The Mummy with supernatural strength.

The tagline ‘Witness the beginning of a dark universe’ could be an indication of the rise of Princess Ahmanet, or maybe a reference to “Universal Monsters” world-building the movie is doing.
