Apple Is Said To Be Working On A 32-Core Processor For High-End Macs & We Can't Wait For It

Apple's M1 chips are looking mighty good right now with some great early reviews and powerful benchmarks.

And now, everybody is waiting to see what we get from Apple for their high-end Mac machines. Word on the street is that the company is working on a new ARM-based processor with as many as 32 high-performance cores.

According to a new report from Bloomberg, it looks like this new chip is getting prepared for Apple's Mac in late 2021.

Alongside this one, Apple is also said to be working on CPU designs with up to 16 high-performance cores and four power-efficient cores. These processors are could arrive as early as spring 2021.

We're particularly excited about this new processor because of just good the new M1 chip already is. The new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini each uses it and it seems to be very powerful.

The company's more powerful machines like the Mac Pro is still using Intel chips and we can't wait to see what Apple is cooking for them.

The Bloomberg report also noted that Apple is working on chips with more GPU cores. The M1 chip comes with either seven or eight GPU cores and cores will definitely make a huge difference.

The company is said to be working on chips with as many as 128 cores for late 2021 and 2022.

Considering Apple's ambitious plans to move its entire Mac line up on to its own silicon, it makes sense for them to keep working on new and improved chips.

It's been an incredible start for them, so far, and we're certain that there's more in store.
