In 2017, Ganesh Acharya stunned everyone with his weight loss transformation. In his interviews, he had said that he is still working towards his goal and wouldn’t give up working towards the betterment of his health. Just recently, he visited the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show where, after noticing his transformation, the comedian was quite surprised by how much he had shed in these three years. 

In the promo clip of the show that's been doing the rounds, the choreographer reveals that he has lost 98kg. On finding out that he had lost almost 100kg, Kapil quips, “Chote chote shehro me 46-46 kilo ke aadmi hotey hai. Do aadmi gayab kar diye apne (In small towns, you’d find men who weigh 46 kgs. You made two men disappear.)” Well, this was in light humour and made everyone burst into laughter.

People are eagerly waiting for the new episode and have even said that it will be one of the best episodes in the lockdown. Besides Ganesh Acharya, Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapur will also feature on the show.

In an interview with Hindustan Times in 2017, Ganesh had said, “It was tough for me. I have been working on my body for the past one-and-a-half years. I had even put on 30-40kg for my film Hey Bro (2015), and my weight had then touched 200kg. Ab vahi weight utaar raha hoon (I am shedding that weight now).”
