Rishabh Pant Labelled ‘Cheater’ For Keeping Wickets In Gabba, Indians Ask Rivals To Apply Burnol

Day 1 of the fourth and final Test match of the Border Gavaskar trophy at the Brisbane Cricket Ground saw the early fall of the Australian opening batsmen David Warner and Marcus Harris followed by a solid partnership for the third wicket until Rohit Sharma’s quick catch to dismiss Steve Smith.

However, instead of paying attention to the ongoing action, some of the Australian fans are stuck up in the past, more specifically on Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant and the elbow injury he suffered in the first innings of the Sydney Test.

Watching the 23-year-old keep wickets in the Gabba Test has irked some cricket fans from Down Under who have labelled him a cheater who fakes injuries to get out of sticky situations.

Weird to see him out there with the gloves. Guess it's probably harder to fake an injury before you bat

During the previous clash as the SCG, Pant had to go for scans and emergency medical assistance after he suffered a blow to his elbow while batting in the first innings. As a result, Wriddhiman Saha replaced him as the man behind the stumps in the second innings for India.

But after resting for one day in between, Pant played arguably his best Test-cricket innings ever when he blasted the Australian bowling attack and scored 97-runs to keep his side alive, enabling Team India to draw what was considered a losing match.

Now after undergoing therapy and resting for a couple of days between the third and fourth Tests, Pant is back to keep wickets and his fans in India have got his back:
