People Hail Alia Bhatt’s Fiery Persona In ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ Teaser & Say 'Aag Lagne Wali Hai'

On the occasion of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 58th birthday, the makers of Gangubai Kathiawadi released the teaser of Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited movie.

The film is based on one of the chapters of noted author Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

Alia took to Instagram to share the teaser and wrote, “Happy Birthday Sir... I can think of no better way to celebrate you and your birthday. Presenting a part of my heart and soul. Meet... Gangu.”

The Gangubai Kathiawadi teaser begins with a glimpse of Alia Bhatt as the fierce queen of Kamathipura.

The teaser features glimpses of Gangubai's early life as a *** worker and how she changed her fate into becoming the President of Kamathipura.

Clearly, the teaser is a hit among people and they are appreciating Alia as the powerful and fiery Gangubai. Some people even went on to say that she should add ‘versatile’ in her surname.

For the uninitiated, Gangubai was an Indian criminal, don, *** worker, and businesswoman who operated a *** racket in the Hera Mandi red light district.

She fell in love with her father’s accountant and ran away with him to Mumbai at the age of 16.

She wanted to try her luck in movies but everything changed for Gangubai when her husband sold her for Rs 500 to a brothel.

The film was earlier in troubled waters after family members of Gangubai filed a case against the actress and the director in the Bombay civil court.

Besides Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra.
