CARDIFF: England beat New Zealand by 87 runs to reach the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy.Β 

Kane Williamson hit 87, but no other New Zealand batsman hit 50.Β 

Hales, Root and Buttler hit 50s as England score 310 all out

Batting first, England set a target of 310 for New Zealand. Joe Root top-scored with 64, while Jos Buttler was 61 not out.

New Zealand seamers Corey Anderson and Adam Milne took three wickets apiece.

In response, New Zealand were only able to score 223 runs and were bowled out in the 44th over.Β
