Crowd In Maharashtra Storms Movie Hall Screening Of ‘Mumbai Saga’ & Everyone Is Shocked

People in India love watching films and it has been quite a while that movie lovers haven’t been able to watch films in the theatres. However, now, even though the Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra are dismally increasing, people are not abstaining from going to the movie halls.

Recently, a video of a large crowd of film lovers surfaced on social media and raised a lot of concerns for the safety of people watching films at the theatres.

The video showcased a wild crowd of people who didn’t care about social distancing and also were jumping fences to enter a cinema hall in Malegaon, Maharashtra. The movie hall was screening John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi’s film Mumbai Saga.

Check out the video here-

The video shows hundreds of people pushing each other and jumping over the fence to enter the movie hall. None of the people in the crowd can be seen wearing a mask and nobody is following social distancing despite the rising cases in Maharashtra.

Here’s what people on the internet have to say about the carelessness of people amid a pandemic-

Mumbai Saga was released last Friday in theatres across the country and is also one of the first big films to get a theatrical release after the Information and Broadcasting Ministry's directive to allow cinema halls to operate at 100% capacity.

In an interview with Mid-Day, John Said, "(The film) won’t make as much money as movies did in 2019. All theatres across the country haven’t opened, but with this film, a few more will. After we announced this film, five more movies were announced (for theatrical run).”

What do you think of people behaving recklessly amid a pandemic and not following the social distancing norms? Let us know in the comments section below!
