Amidst Rumours Of Fleeing To South Africa, Arjun Rampal Shares Holi Pics From Mumbai

The year 2020 has witnessed a massive tide of controversies in the entertainment industry. After the sudden demise of one of the biggest superstars of the country, Sushant Singh Rajput in June last year, what followed the investigation of his death was nothing short of a movie script in itself. A full can of worms in terms of usage of drugs in Bollywood was opened and a lot of names were highlighted, out of which many actors and producers were even summoned. The NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) has been apparently trying to work hard on the charge sheet as it tries to navigate through the case. Around the beginning of March, the NCB filed a charge sheet with over 33 names per se.

According to a news report, the charge sheet states that the NCB has found links to Rhea Chakraborty after the arrest of the drug peddlers. According to the NCB, Rhea, Sushant’s cook Dipesh and manager Samuel Miranda bought drugs for him on his instructions. The charge sheet also includes actor Arjun Rampal’s name and in latest news, the NCB has informed the court that the actor has likely escaped to South Africa. The NCB has already written to the Counsel General of the Republic of South Africa in this matter as well.

The actor’s residence was raided during the investigation and managed to seize some medicines from his house. It is quite interesting to wonder that there is no confirmation about the actor’s location because on social media, he has been pretty active this week. Arjun recently finished shooting for his part for Aparna Sen’s ‘The Rapist’ and was tweeting around the India-England match as well.

It’s a wrap for @rampalarjun as he finishes the shoot of his next film, #TheRapist, in record time. Pairing up with director #AparnaSen for the first time, it was an intense outing for Arjun with @konkonas. Backed by @ApplauseSocial, the film is being readied in quick time. pic.twitter.com/PCmVLPOfra

According to the report in Times 18 News, the letter to the South African counsel apparently warns the agency that the actor might apply for a visa in the near future and that it is only possible if it's permissible by the court back home. However, amidst the rumours of the actor fleeing to another country, he was spotted sharing Holi pics with his family in Mumbai.

The charge sheet has over 12,000 pages and includes a lot of sensitive information, including Whatsapp chats, in lieu of the drug cases filed post Sushant’s death.
