‘Ever Given,’ the 200,000-ton cargo ship that was blocking the Suez Canal may have finally been freed but if you want to see how the stuck ship caused a global crisis, you can do so virtually on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Microsoft Flight Simulator launched last year. It offers photo-realistic views of Earth from the cockpits of various planes. While you can’t see the blocked Suez Canal as a part of the base game, you can see it if you download the Suez Traffic Jam mod from flightsim.to as well as the Global AI Ship Traffic and Dave's Crooked Library mods.

Once the three mods have been added to your game, you can fly over the Suez Canal and have a look at the shipping crisis for yourself. You can see the ‘Ever Given’ ship blocking the Suez Canal and all the other ships anchored in the Suez Gulf waiting for it to get unstuck. You can even see the excavators trying to free the ship in the canal.
A video of the game showing the stuck ship was even reshared on Twitter by Microsoft technical advisor Mat Velloso with the caption “Cargo ship stuck in Microsoft Flight Simulator.”
