‘Chal Jhoota’ Michael Vaughan ‘Never Doubted’ MI Winning Vs KKR But Fans Say ‘Ambani Ka Kamaal’

The Indian Premier League has been a source of action-packed cricket matches with some of the best batsmen and bowlers coming from all across the world to become a part of the entity every single year

And the fans get to see some brilliant knocks and bowling spells in the middle of the cricket ground, there are times when what they see on the television (or witness live in a non-COVID-19 era) doesn’t really make sense

One such occasion took place on Tuesday during the matchup between Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians and Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium.

Despite wrapping up the entire MI squad for a minimal 152 total, and having an ideal start to their own innings, KKR ended up losing all their momentum in the final five overs of the game and ended up giving away what seemed to be an easy win by the end of the night.

Albeit in the dearth of their top-tier batsmen, the task of chasing 31 runs off 30 deliveries remained incomplete as names like Morgan, and Shakib Al Hasan fell one after another like ripe fruits with single-digit scores. All-rounder Andre Russell’s defense innings (9 off 15 balls), especially at the end of the game, also raised a few eyebrows.

Ultimately KKR ended up losing the contest by 10 runs, with an unbeaten 8-off-11 by Dinesh Karthik and 2-for-2 Harbhajan Singh running out of deliveries to face.

And even though the whole world was shocked at how the reigning champions managed to put a lid on their opponents’ scoring abilities, especially in the final 30 deliveries and did not highly economical bowling to win it all, there was one person who seemingly knew that the Rohit Sharma-led side was going to take home the victory - Michael Vaughan.

After the match got over, the former England captain hopped on Twitter and wrote how he neven doubted MI winning the contest:

Never in doubt .. #OnOn https://t.co/OKi2dPWNOc

Fans who follow Vaughan on toe micro-blogging website weren’t ready to buy it:
