India has been ravaged by the tsunami of a second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, leaving its health care systems to collapse and the country's major population in desperate need of hospital beds, medicines, test kits, and most importantly oxygen.

There was no respite for the nation on Monday (April 26), as it recorded 3,52,991 fresh Covid cases and 2,812 deaths, setting a new record which only goes to prove exactly how the deadly virus is continuing to hold the country by its neck.

Meanwhile, international support poured out from various nations for India with the European Union, France, the United Kingdom, and even neighboring rival nations like China and Pakistan expressing its solidarity with the country.

However, in what will uplift the spirits of Indians across the nation, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), lit up with the Indian tricolor to showcase for the country in its battle against the Covid-19 crisis.

In a 17-second long video released in a tweet by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Burj Khalifa, which is the world's tallest building, displayed the deep saffron, white, and dark green colors of the Indian flag, following which it showed a message stating, "#staystrongIndia".

The official Twitter handle of the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in the tweet, said,

"As India battles the gruesome war against COVID19, its friend UAE sends its best wishes. Burj Khalifa in Dubai lits up in (Indian tri-color) to showcase its support. #IndiaUAEDosti (IndiaUAEFriendship)."

The warm gesture of support from the UAE, which is already sending a huge shipment of oxygen concentrators to the country, garnered the attention of social media users in India, who thanked the Arab nation in return.

Emotional support plays an equally important role in the path of recovery. This is beautiful and much appreciated. We shall overcome and continue being supportive to each other.
