BJP MLA Siddharth Shirole took to Twitter and wrote, โ#VIP Culture & Arrogance of the #MVA...Athletic track at Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex (#PUNE ) being used as a parking lot for Cars belonging Ex. IOA President @PawarSpeaks ji, Sports Cabinet Minister @SunilKedar1111 ji and MoS Sports @iAditiTatkare jiโ
On Saturday, Sharad Pawar, the former chief of the Indian Olympics Association, visited Puneโs Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex along with State Sports Minister Sunil Kedar and Minister of State Aditi Tatkare to review a project.
Later, apologizing for the incident, Pune officials said that only one vehicle was supposed to be parked on the cement concrete near the track- of Mr Pawar whose had asked for permission due to the problem of his leg.ย
According toย ANI, the ministers didnโt want to use the elevators to the second floor of the sports complex where the meeting room is. To avoid any inconvenience, the ministers decided to take the cars up to the second floor of the complex and parked them on the track.
The Pune administration also put out an apology saying, "The incident has been noted by the Sports Minister and instructions have been issued to make sure that such an incident is not repeated. Going forward it will be made sure that vehicles are not allowed at an athletic track.โ
Hereโs what people have to say about this-
Definitely track will be damaged. Who ever runs on these tracks risks injury and will be at an disadvantage to other runners.
