These Pictures From The iphone Photography Awards Prove You Dont Need A Fancy Camera To Capture Beauty

You don't always need a fancy camera to take a stunning picture. All you need is a photographer's eye. You just need to be able to see beauty in your subject. The winning pictures from the tenth annual iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAwards) are proof. Thousands of people participated from across the world, submitting their best clicks from their iPhones. Photojournalist Sebastiano Tomada was the Grand Prize Winner of the Photographer of the Year, with his picture “Children of Qayyarah”.

The caption reads: “Children roam the streets in Qayyarah near the fire and smoke billowing from oil wells, set ablaze by ISIS militants.”

Here are few of the most stunning pictures from the contest:

1. Winning the first place for Photographer of the Year was Brendan O Se with his photo of a dockworker's hands in Jakarta. With its detailed lines and clarity, it's unbelievable that it was shot through an iPhone 6s!

2. Titled ‘The America I Know', this one by Maria K. Pianu from Italy was shot at Coney Island in New York. If a single picture could sum up the idea of the American Dream, this would be it.
