The character played by Ranbir Kapoor in the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is every other guy living in the country who wants to fulfill his dreams and also wants to explore the world. Men have taken its iconic dialogue quite literally –“Main udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon ... bus rukna nahi chahta”.

So, while we enjoyed watching the movie that made us want to go on a road trip, Bunny’s character in the film showcased many red flags that we ignored. 

So, here we go-

Commitment Phobic

Bunny’s character in the film is also commitment-phobic and he doesn’t want to tell Naina but when meets her again, he tries to treat her as his girlfriend without having the right to do so. 

Kept Intruding Naina’s Personal Space

He kept calling Naina ‘chasmish’ and also kept intruding her personal space. He also stole her phone to check who she was talking to and that’s extremely weird and problematic.

Compares Women To Food 

He compares women to food and other things. That’s another way of objectifying women. 

Remember his dialogue- “Shaadi is daal chawal for pachaas saal till you die. Arey life mein thoda bahut kheema pav, tangdi kebab, hakka noodles bhi hona chahiye na!” 

Typical F**kboi Traits 

Remember that song 'Dilli wali girlfriend'? 

That song is just another f**kboi admitting that he cheated on his girlfriend with someone else. So, we shouldn’t be promoting these songs.
