Anand Mahindra has been brilliant in interacting with the people of India from all walks of life and actually uses his social media platform to do something good and promote those with real talent and skills in front of millions of his followers.

The industrialist recently shared a video of a “young woman” who was practicing Kalaripayattu or Kalari, an Indian martial art that originated in modern-day Kerala and is known to be the oldest martial arts practice in India with a history spanning over 3,000 years.

“WARNING: Do NOT get in this young woman’s way! And Kalaripayattu needs to be given a significantly greater share of the limelight in our sporting priorities. This can—and will— catch the world’s attention,” he wrote in the tweet with which he had shared the video.

With the kind of skills put on display and with someone as big and influential as Mahindra sharing the content, the video had to go viral, as it did. In just about a day’s time, it got over 3.25 lakh views and approximately 30,000 likes on Twitter alone.

While Mahindra was praised for giving such a great exposure to someone so talented, the billionaire got the performer’s gender identity wrong in the caption. Twitter user Prince Of Kalaripayattu, the boy who was displaying all the breathtaking actions in the video even replied to Mahindra’s tweet while clarifying that he was not a “young female”.

However it didn’t take long for the digital trolls to get their hands on this tweet and use it as a weapon to get on with Mahindra’s case.

It is good @anandmahindra ji didn’t know you were not a girl, otherwise he might not have tweeted this video.
