A vada pav is a favourite dish, especially for the people of Mumbai. It's made of potato mash, with spicy ingredients and is a delight on rainy days. 

Vada pav has become a staple for people. I mean, if you are hungry, you will find at least one vada pav stall every 1 km in Mumbai.

It is super affordable and also comes with Mirchi and some Chiwda. No surprise that this humble dish has now become world-famous, and even big, elite restaurants are making it a part of their menus. 

The street food recently got a blingy makeover at a Dubai-based restaurant named O'Pao. This place has been serving vada pavs at a whopping cost, and here's how.

The dish is laden with 22-karat gold and is priced a Rs 2,000 or AED 99. 

It comes with butter and cheese and has sweet potato fries and a glass of mint lemonade. It is further packed with 22-karat gold leaves. 

The video of the extravagant vada pav has now gone viral on Twitter, and social media users are saying that the staple food now has a 'gold standard'. 

Some also spoke about how this vada pav doesn't have any chutney in it.

This dish is available only for the dine-in option in the restaurant located in Karama. However, such a luxurious dish is not a newfangled thing, as, before this, we have also heard about the country selling 24-karat gold burgers and Biryani, and now Vada Pav has joined the bandwagon.
