Looks like Kapil Sharma’s popular comedy show will continue landing in a controversial soup every time it comes back with a new avatar.

As per news reports, An FIR has been filed against the makers of The Kapil Sharma Show in the district court of Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh.

The reason for the complaint is one particular episode where the actors and performers were actually shown consuming alcohol in a fictitious courtroom scene.

The complainant has alleged that the actors have 'disrespected' the court and its demeanour.

"The Kapil Sharma Show that is being aired on Sony TV is sloppy. They also make lewd comments on women. In one of the episodes, a court was set up on the stage and the actors were seen drinking alcohol in public. This is contempt of court. That's why I have demanded registration of an FIR against the culprits under Section 356/3 in the court. Such display of sloppiness should be stopped”, the lawyer who registered the complaint was quoted explaining it.

The hearing is scheduled for 1st October.

As per another report, the 'objectionable' episode is actually from 2020 which was re-aired on April 2021.

Meanwhile, Kapil’s show continues to enjoy immense love from its viewers and is one of the biggest platforms for celebrities to promote their movies.

It's safe to assume that appearing on the show before a big release is like an obvious marketing gimmick for every A-lister in Bollywood.

The ‘laughing seat’ on the show, which was previously occupied by Navjot Singh Sidhu, has been taken over by new addition Archana Puran Singh.

The show has some stellar names attached to it which include Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda and Sumona Chakravarti.
