‘SRK Can’t Lecture Us On Good Parenting’: People Uninstall BYJU’S Amid Aryan Drug Controversy


Following the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, in regards to the possession of drugs at a rave party on a luxury cruise, people have been attacking the actor brutally on social media. People have dragged SRK’s association with the popular education technology company BYJU's and want the platform to remove him as an ambassador.

BYJU’s signed SRK as its brand ambassador in 2017 and sales went up twofold when the superstar came on board. After Aryan’s arrest, people are not okay with the fact that SRK is seen lecturing others on good parenting in the app's commercials. 

One of the users wrote, “#SRK got busy educating Indian kids on #Byjus, looks like he ignored his own kid... Oops... Probably #Byjus might take him off as his brand ambassador?”

According to the further developments in the case as mentioned in the Indian Express, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has sought custody for Aryan Khan till October 11. It added that ‘shocking, incriminating material’ was found on his phone. 

As per a report in Times Of India, Khan has been booked for his consumption of ‘Charas’. The NCB alleged that they had seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy), and Rs 1.33 lakh in the raid.

He was booked under Section 8C, 20B, 27 (Punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance) and 35 (Presumption of culpable mental state) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act). 

According to a report in India Today, NCB official sources said Aryan Khan continuously cried during the interrogation. During the questioning, it was further revealed that Aryan Khan had been consuming drugs for almost four years.

Apart from Aryan, the others who were arrested are Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Sarika, and Vikrant Chhokar.
