Pakistan and India haven't played bilateral cricket in almost a decade due to political tensions between the two countries, but the BCCI have finally spoken out after Ramiz Raja proposed a four-nation series.
Exclusive: Ramiz Raja explains his proposals for a new annual quadrangular T20I tournament involving Pakistan, India, England and Australia @kalson
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) January 12, 2022
According to recent events, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have taken a neutral stance on the multi-nation tournament proposed to the International Cricket Council by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja. Raja wants the two adjacent teams to encounter more frequently outside of Asia Cup and ICC games, given the tremendous demand and massive popularity of Indo-Pak battles.
As a result, he has been batting for India, Pakistan, England, and Australia in a four-nation tournament. At the International Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Executives Committee (CEC) meeting in Dubai on Friday, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) CEO Tom Harrison also suggested a similar competition (April 8). However, his perspective of the competition differs from Ramiz's.

Meanwhile, according to Cricbuzz, the BCCI did not resist the concept and remained neutral on the subject. It should be mentioned that due to political tensions between the two countries, Pakistan and India haven't played bilateral cricket in almost a decade. While Raja appears to be committed to improving bilateral cricket relations, the BCCI's approach is one to be wary of.
Members of the Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee (F&CA) were among the dissenters, believing that too many multi-team competitions could diminish the appeal of other ICC events such as the World Cup and the Champions Trophy.

It's worth noting that, with the exception of 2018 and 2020, an ICC tournament has been held every year since 2009. The T20 World Cup will be held later this year, while the ODI World Cup will be held next year, indicating that this tendency will continue. As a result, it is unclear whether the multi-team competition will receive ICC support.
Having said that, a couple of weeks ago, the PCB had estimated that the quadrangular T20I event could generate up to USD 650 million in income for the four countries and a fair chunk of this amount will go to the ICC.
Considering the fact that such a tournament would add a lot of financial value to global cricket and will be able to make the ICC explore more options for popularising cricket all over the world, there are still some chances that the globally governing body will give their consent.

Ahead of every new season of Indian Premier League (IPL), the expectations from Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are always sky-high for they are the two most successful outfits in the tournament’s history.
Due to their rich legacy, everyone expects the two franchises to rule the show all the time. However, the 15th edition of the tournament has given both sides a massive reality check that their glorious past can’t improve their present.
    View this post on Instagram
Having lost their first four matches on the trot, defending champions CSK and record IPL winners MI are languishing at the bottom of the 10-team points table.
Their latest defeat came on the same day. While CSK lost to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in the afternoon clash, Rohit Sharma’s men were thoroughly outclassed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who clinched the tie with seven wickets in hand.

With this defeat, MI and CSK are now the only teams who haven’t won any matches in the IPL 2022 and are yet to open their account. As far as their table position is concerned, CSK who have an inferior net run-rate are rock bottom while MI are just above them.
Had they performed this poorly in any other season, they would have faced immense criticism from fans and pundits alike. But for some reason, this year nobody seems to care.
And the reason is simple. Fans are not that frustrated because both CSK and MI have performed equally bad and are giving each other company in the bottom half of the points table.
Being the two most successful sides in the competition, it’s no surprise that there is a huge rivalry between Mumbai and Chennai. Whenever these two sides go up against each other, the contest is marketed as the biggest game of the season – the ‘El Clasico’ of IPL.
Some fans have even started joking that they are eagerly waiting for that high-voltage clash between MI and CSK but for a different reason. Till last year, the contest would give the winning team the bragging rights but this year, given their dismal situation, it could help them collect their first couple of points.
It would have been really hard if CSK was alone.

In the recent episode of her reality show Lock Upp, Kangana Ranaut opened up about falling for a married man and explained how young girls fall for such men.
Without naming Hrithik Roshan, she talked about how her affair with a married man had become a huge scandal.
    © Kangana Ranaut Instagram
It so happened that during the episode, she showed contestant Munnawar Faruqui, a blurry picture that is going viral on social media. In the picture, Munnawar can be seen posing with a woman & a kid.

Kangana asked if he’d like to talk about the picture, to which Munnawar replied, “I don't want to talk about this. Not on social media, not on a platform like Lock Upp. This is not something I want to talk about.”
After Munnawar’s refusal to talk about the picture, Kangana said, “Every girl falls into the charm of married men. I speak from personal experience. I am not talking about you, but maybe it happens because they (married men) are domesticated and they are more understanding. They are responsible and have that aura around them that charms young women.”
She added, “Wo kahani bana ke rakhte hain ki kahaan phans gaya, bechara hoon. Same story (Such men have stories of being trapped and they tell similar stories to the wife and the young girl).”
At this point, Munnawar interrupted Kangana and stated that it isn’t the same story.

Responding to him, the actress said, “I am not talking about you but many girls will relate, girls who are at a young age. Mere saath kafi bada scandal ban gayi. Aisa lagta hai biwi se aap hi bacha sakte ho, but biwi ki sun lo to kaan se khoon nikal aaye (It became a huge scandal in my life. The young girls feel they are the only ones who can save the married man from his wife. But, if you hear the wife's story, you'd be shocked).”

Well, the “scandal” that Kangana is hinting at indeed made headlines nationwide & beyond and was a point for discussion on social media for years.

On April 9, the Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated the Mumbai Indians by seven wickets at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune in IPL 2022 Match 18. RCB has already won three games this season, while MI has yet to score a point after suffering their fourth consecutive defeat.
While Anuj Rawat made his first half-century in the IPL, all eyes were on Virat Kohli, who looked in top form as he led the RCB chase. Not only did he appear to be on his way to a fantastic 50, but he also appeared to be leading Bangalore past the finish line. Unfortunately, that was not to be, and after being dismissed, he was unable to contain his emotions.

Kohli was removed by teenager Dewald Brevis in the penultimate over after reaching 48 runs off 36 deliveries. He hit five fours in his inning. Brevis bowled a tossed-up delivery to the middle on the opening delivery of the 19th over, which Virat attempted to defend by pushing forward but missed. As the on-field umpire raised his finger, he was slapped on the pads, prompting a massive protest from the MI fielders.
The 33-year-old was not satisfied and immediately requested a review. Because the UltraEdge showed that the ball did not make contact with the bat and the ball-tracking showed all three reds, the on-field umpire had no choice but to stick to his previous judgement and rule the batter out. The replays were perplexing because they clearly showed the ball changing directions after touching the bat.
    View this post on Instagram
Virat Kohli was enraged by this and expressed his displeasure as he walked back to the bench. He cried loudly and looked up, ostensibly to show that there was a bat involved and that he had been unjustly assigned. Dewald Brevis, on the other hand, had little to cheer about when Glenn Maxwell hammered him for two straight fours to end the game.
Virat Kohli and Controversial LBW decisions, some story.
