If you like Bollywood star John Abraham and the many diverse movies that he has starred in, you must like his 2006 film Kabul Express, which also starred Arshad Warsi.
As you know, John is one actor who hasn't ever been scared of trying something different, and his role in Kabul Express was something exactly like that.
Directed by Kabir Khan, Kabul Express revolved around the story of two Indian journalists (John and Arshad), an American journalist and an Afghan guide who are taken hostage by Pakistani soldiers before being forced to undertake a 48-hour journey into a war-torn country of Afghanistan.

Now, while there are security parameters set around actors for their safety during filming, John described how the dynamics were completely different in Afghanistan.
John, who played the role of Indian journalist Suhel Khan in the film, spoke on the love he got from the Afghanistan people before revealing the threats faced by the Taliban.
"There were no social media at that time. When I was leaving Afghanistan, Afghani people told me John jaan (jaan means bhai) whatever you do, don't say anything bad about Afghanistan. And today I want to say on record that Afghani people are the most beautiful, loveliest people in the world, amazing hospitality. Really lovely people, superb people."
"It was an UN-approved hotel. I came to the terrace to have tea, and this rocket came from the front and hit the US consulate. Condoleezza Rice used to be the US foreign secretary to the state in Afghanistan at the time. It was Afghanistan's way of telling her that they are not happy with the Americans here. There was another incident where a suicide bomber had blown themselves up just six hours before we reached this location. It was quite an experience." John told Mashable India.
His account was somewhat matched by director Kabir Khan, who has made several documentaries in Afghanistan over the years and even once interviewed the Taliban.

During the 10th anniversary of the film in 2016, the Bollywood director had shared a tweet on the film.
Death threats, suicide bombings, fired upon, sub zero cold..we faced it all to make #Kabul Express #10YearsOfKabulExpress pic.twitter.com/WHdSFFSMO2

"Death threats, suicide bombings, fired upon, sub zero cold..we faced it all to make #Kabul Express #10YearsOfKabulExpress" he wrote.
John will next be seen in his upcoming Attack film and in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming Pathan film.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) tried to pull off a prank involving their skipper Sanju Samson on Friday (March 25) that backfired big time as fans raged against the franchise on social media. It all started when the Rajasthan-based franchise posted an edited picture of their captain that did not go well with Samson and he reacted to the post, asking the team to be a bit 'more professional'.
RR soon deleted the tweet and later issued a release, saying that it will revisit its overall digital strategy. "In light of today's events, we will be making changes to our approach and team on social media. Everything is well within the squad ahead of the first game as the boys prepare for SRH. The management will revisit our overall digital strategy and appoint a new team in due course," the statement read.

While some fans were having a go at Samson for being a crybaby, others felt it was some sort of a prank. RR posted a video clearing the air that it was indeed a prank in which everyone from coaching staff to players were involved.
The inaugural IPL champions even conducted a fake audition in search of their new social media admin.
This prank was incomplete without a fake audition.
P.S. Tough luck, @yuzi_chahal #RoyalsFamily | #HallaBol pic.twitter.com/aM3cWJqucv
— Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) March 26, 2022
Unhappy with the way how RR went about their prank, fans fumed at the franchise and called for a ban on the team from the IPL.
Instead of paying people for false news atleast hire a better coach dimwits , you will do well in auction maybe. Some epic shithousery https://t.co/MUxM66s8Ty
— Arun (@_iArun__) March 26, 2022Ffs you deserve another ban!
Just for sheer mockery you are turning into!

— Dr. Ravi Bhai Daruwala (@RaviBhai2705) March 26, 2022Successfully managed to create a niche of haters for this team... probably that's what they wanted to stay relevant. https://t.co/XBs4R2JYCA

— Rohan (@Rohantweetss) March 26, 2022Recently, renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle received a lot of flak for his prank in which he mysteriously disappeared during a live interaction where he was analysing IPL teams.
His sudden disappearance left fans in shock and many panicked worrying about the safety of Harsha. However, just like RR, Bhogle too came with a clarification and apologised to his well wishers.
I am fine. Sorry to have got a lot of you worried. Thank you for the love and concern. It became more viral than I anticipated. That too is a learning. It was meant to lead to something else. Sorry. And cheers.
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) March 24, 2022
These cringe pranks need to stop. They might help in surging engagement on social media for a while but in the long run, it is turning fans away from the team/individual.

Shoaib Akhtar did not hold back following Pakistan's Test series loss to Australia, lashing out at the PCB and the Pakistan team management and sharing some tough love with the team management.
In Lahore, Australia won the three-match series 1-0 with an overpowering performance on Day 5 of the final Test against Pakistan. Australia bowled Pakistan out for 235 runs, setting up a 351-run mark for the hosts to win.
End of an amazing Test Match. What a fighting performance by Pakistan.
This is what creates fans of the game.

— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) March 16, 2022
Spinner Nathan Lyon took a five-wicket haul (5/83). Pat Cummins was eventually rewarded for a gutsy declaration call on Day 4 when the hosts experienced a middle-order collapse during the second session of the final day.
After the heartbreaking loss, Pakistan fans chastised the team and the Pakistan Cricket Board for adopting a defensive stance throughout the series. The pitch conditions in the first two matches in Rawalpindi and Karachi drew a lot of criticism from the cricketing community, though Pakistan managed to scrape a tie on the final day of the second Test.
Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistan speedster, slammed the PCB and team administration for their disappointing performance in the series, while complimenting Cummins and his teammates for being "brave."
Akhtar said he thought the Pakistan Cricket Board and the team management were headed into the final match with the mindset of forcing the match to end in a draw and had absolutely no intention of actually trying to win any of the three matches.
This is what i talk about. Brave moves, brave decisions.
Ab samajh aaya "tagra" khelna kya hota hai?

— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) March 25, 2022
However, Akhtar did laud the touring Australian side and said that he was genuinely happy for them. Despite battling it out on foreign soil, the team adapted to Pakistani conditions and were truly brave in their approach towards the pitch, the fans and the opponents. He specifically commended Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins’ efforts and went on to congratulate Lyon on his 5-wicket haul.
This is where the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ turned ballistic on the PCB and bashed them ruthlessly for “lacking courage” and looking for an “escape”. Akhtar tore into the fact that this was for the first time in the last 24 years that the men from Down Under said yes to coming to Pakistan for a red-ball series and were greeted for unprofessionally created road-like pitches. In the end, the former cricketer made a request to the PCB to recruit people with the cricket board and the team management who aren’t afraid of playing to win.

All good things happen to those who wait. And a 2-year wait is what it took to make Dune a force to reckon with, quite literally!
Touted as one of the biggest films of 2021, Dune is the first of a two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel by Frank Herbert, primarily covering the first half of the book. Even though there was a vision to rely on, it wasn’t always easy to bring it to life.
Calling this project one of his most ambitious works of all time, Denis Villeneuve, the director and screenwriter of this movie is enthralled by the response.
Nominated for 10 Oscar awards, this movie is unmissable. Thanks to Amazon Prime Video, we can now watch this sci-fi marvel at the comfort of our living rooms.
Set in the far future, the film follows Paul Atreides as his family, the House Atreides, is thrust into a war for the deadly and desert planet, Arrakis.
The stellar ensemble cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.
… and while good things take time - it also takes an army to make them happen. Here are some fun facts and a little sneak peek into the making of this edge-of-the-seat adventure.
Arrakis Isn’t What It Looks Like…
You’d think that a virtual planet would be all green screens and an indoor studio, right? NOPE!
Villeneuve is a visionary who took his cast to the deserts of Jordan and Abu Dhabi where he made a movie that creates an experience that the cast fondly talks about to date. Timothee Chalamet talks about shooting at over 50 degrees in the blazing sun on some of the most difficult terrains of the world. But also calls it an experience of a lifetime!
The indoor sets like the Emperors’ Palace were constructed in Budapest and even though CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) was widely used, the props were mostly practical.
Talk about living a movie, eh?

From The Ships To The Sandworm Effects, Everything Was Created
Paul Lambert, a two-time Oscar winner for VFX, was in charge of the visuals in Dune. From creating giant platforms in the middle of the desert to creating ships, most of the things were manually created to create the captivating scenes in this movie.
Every work of art was created by his team keeping in mind the land of Arrakis and its people.

Costumes & Makeup Took Hours And An Army
The exceptional Stellan Skarsgård, who plays Harkonnen in the movie, spent almost a quarter of his time on the makeup chair. Yup, we’re talking about 8 hours every day. Apart from that, the entire crew spent a lot of time and effort curating all individual looks.
Costume designers, Jacqueline West and Bob Morgan created over a thousand costumes taking inspiration from Greek and Roman mythology. The suits or their armour were actually live cast on the actors making them a well fit for each character.
Dune was among one of the big 2020 movies that saw its release date delayed due to the pandemic. With a budget of over 165 Million Dollars, it was decided that the stellar novel cannot be depicted in just one movie.
While Dennis started writing the movie in 2018, it actually took him one year to get it going. He signed a two-movie deal with Warner Brothers Studio in 2019 and began his search.
All the characters are well thought off and apt and the planning of executing them the perfect way took almost a year.
Step into the world of this mystical little land on Amazon Prime Video and have your weekend sorted!
