David Warner got himself into a heated exchange with Pakistani umpire Ahsan Raza during the ongoing Lahore Test on Thursday (March 24). The umpire interrupted the game for a while as he asked the Australian batter not to run in the danger area of the pitch.
Warner was batting outside his crease and as he played a defensive shot and took a step forward, umpire Raza held him up for scuffing up the danger area that might assist spinners later in the game.
Players and umpires are currently having a lengthy debate over where David Warner is treading on the pitch when stepping forward after playing some shots. #PAKvAUS pic.twitter.com/KZ0wKgfAVb

Warner was clearly pissed with the interruption in the game and expressed his opinion on the matter and argued that he has not done anything that is illegal.

The 35-year-old told the umpire that he is well within his right to bat outside the crease and was caught in the stump mic saying, "you want me to play shot like this (forward defence) and then go back and then go for a run?"

The umpire replied in affirmative after which Warner smiled and asked the on-field official to show him the rule book, adding that he will not continue playing until he brings out the rule book.
“Show me in the rule book where that’s what I’ve got to do. I won’t start until you show me,” Warner further said.
The Southpaw received support from fans on social media who felt Warner was treated unfairly by the umpires.
    Come on
    Now this is unfair

    — Lachy Steele (@Lachy_Steele) March 24, 2022Ridiculous Aleem Dar & Ahsan Raza for making @davidwarner31 not to step on the pitch in the process of playing short. The players have been doing this throughout the series why bother now as Pakistan may loose. — Canadian Maple (@obaidr786) March 24, 2022Issues with David Warner playing a long way out of his crease. Umpire Ahsan Raza wants David Warner to go backwards, towards his crease out of the protected area before setting off on a run. Ludicrous. #PAKvsAUS
    — Lui Zacher (@LuiFromTheRadio) March 24, 2022Despite the disruption, Warner continued to smash Pakistan bowlers as he scored a fine half-century before losing his off-stump to a peach of a delivery by Shaheen Afridi.
Thanks to Warner's blitz, Australia scored quickly and declared their innings at 227 for three, setting up the hosts a target of 351.

Whatever the result of the match might be, cricket fans were happy to see the old fiery Warner back after many years. He had toned down his aggression a bit after receiving a ban for his involvement in the infamous ball-tampering scandal but looks like the left-hander is over that phase and the Warner of old is back.

Former Indian Head Coach Ravi Shastri was recently asked if he thought Virat Kohli should continue as the batting opener for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
The batting line-up of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), particularly former skipper Virat Kohli's position, is one of the most talked-about topics ahead of the start of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
    View this post on Instagram
While some believe he should continue to open for RCB, others feel Kohli should return to the number three spot in the batting order to enhance the innings as the ball ages a little and the direction of the innings needs a little more experience behind it.
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri weighed in on Kohli's batting position in the franchise's playing XI on Thursday.
Last year, during IPL 2021, Kohli returned to his old role in the RCB lineup, with the goal of starting alongside Rohit Sharma for India in the T20 World Cup later that year.
In 15 innings for RCB, he scored 339 runs at 28.9 with a strike rate of 119.5, including three half-centuries. Kohli, on the other hand, has always played at No. 3 for RCB in previous seasons.

In an interview with ESPNCricinfo's video show T20 Time Out, Shastri gave a half-and-half response to the question about Kohli’s position in the batting lineup.
While his first instinct was to watch the former RCB skipper bat at the number one or two spots, he went on to say that Kohli might be more useful to the squad’s requirements based on how strong the rest of the batting lineup may look by the time they play their first IPL 2022 match.
Kohli's diminishing returns in the middle overs (7-15), where he has scored at 6.67 runs per over in the IPL since 2019, with a boundary every 12.7 balls, or more than two overs, are a good fit for a T20 side. On the other hand, the veteran cricketer averages 7.8 runs per over against the new ball, with a boundary every 5.2 deliveries.

For now, it is reported that Virat Kohli will begin alongside skipper Faf du Plessis, giving RCB a much-needed quality opening duo. Anuj Rawat, a young Indian with little international experience, will bat at No. 3 before Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik. If Kohli bats one down, the RCB batting order will remain strong.
Earlier this year, Kohli’s preceding RCB captain and New Zealand legend Daniel Vettori had opined that the Indian batter should stick to the opener’s position as it allows him more time to settle in and get accustomed to the pitch and that’s when he transforms into a devastating batter.

The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher, continues to do well at the box office despite a slew of controversies. It is breaking box office records and has turned out to be the highest-grossing Hindi film made during the pandemic.
While the movie is in no mood to slow down, many people have questioned Agnihotri, if he plans to share the film's profits with the victims, the Kashmiri Pandits.
    View this post on Instagram
Recently, reacting to it, the director recently dodged the question and claimed that the film is yet to make money.

During a press conference in Lucknow, he said, "Kamaai hogi tab baat karenge abhi kamaai ki stithi toh hai. (We’ll talk once the money makes money. Currently, it seems like the film will earn some money)".

Taking to social media, comedian Kunal Kamra trolled Agnihotri and posted a video with the director's statement.
In the second half of the clip, it is suggested that the film has been earning a lot. The comedian tweeted, "Desh ke liye jaan dene ke liye ready hai par desh ke logo ko paise dene ke liye nahi".

Kamra's attempt to troll Agnihotri has met with backlash on Twitter. Reacting to the comedian's tweet, netizens blasted him, claiming that no other Bollywood producer is asked to donate the earnings from their film.
A Twitter user wrote, "Did Sanjay Leela Bhansali give the profits of Gangubai for betterment of the lives of prostitutes? Was the money earned from Chak De used to improve the condition of the women's hockey team? Mandir bana nahi ki aa gaye katora leke bheek mangne!"
Another social media user commented, "Did the journalist asked the same question to producers of Haider and Parzania films? Did they ever spent at least a penny from their kamaai on victims of Kashmir?"
A third tweet reads, "I urge everyone not to troll him. 2014 k baad se ye log bht preshan h. And bhai so called comedian aachi comedy kr leta h tu bt aaj tak jitni movies bni kisi ne donate kia jo ek k piche pd gye ho. Ek or dost h na tera wo german shepherd wo kha h".
Here are some of the reactions:

    — Dr. Shrey (@SamriddhiShrey3) March 25, 2022 For the unversed, The Kashmir Files revolves around the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 during the Kashmir Insurgency. The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, and Darshan Kumar in pivotal roles.

There is a famous saying, ‘no publicity is bad publicity' but it made us wonder if people really mean it. If they did, where do they draw the line? What’s the limit?
Guess what, the recent incident involving famous cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has proven that there is no such thing as bad publicity. There’s no limit to how far people can go to promote themselves.
    View this post on Instagram
Harsha Bhogle is one of the most respected commentators in the world but what he did during a live Instagram session has left a bad taste in his fans’ mouths.
For the unversed, the renowned commentator mysteriously disappeared during a live interaction which sent his millions of admirers into a state of panic. All this for cheap publicity.
What just happened? Is @bhogleharsha okay???

    I NEED ANSWERS. pic.twitter.com/TrhU55gIxj
    — JD (@JaidevNandi) March 24, 2022
The renowned broadcaster was in the middle of a conversation when he made brilliant use of his acting skills and gave the impression as if he had been attacked by some people.
“Kya hua? Kaun hai? Kaha se aa gaye? (What happened? Who are you? Where did you come from?” he was heard saying, before disappearing behind the blurred screen.

Taking the video on the face value, people thought Bhogle was in some sort of trouble and soon the social media was flooded with posts inquiring about his well-being.
People calmed down a bit only after Bhogle himself revealed the truth behind this whole charade on the micro-blogging site and tendered an apology. He said that it was a light-hearted video and he didn’t anticipate this video would go so viral.
You learn something new everyday. It seemed a lighthearted thing to do but in its execution, it became something that I didn't think it would. I am actually a bit embarrassed now. https://t.co/OwFrwb6vm9
    — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) March 24, 2022
“I am fine. Sorry to have got a lot of you worried. Thank you for the love and concern. It became more viral than I anticipated. That too is a learning. It was meant to lead to something else. Sorry. And cheers,” Bhogle tweeted.
“You learn something new every day. It seemed a lighthearted thing to do but in its execution, it became something that I didn't think it would. I am actually a bit embarrassed now,” he added.
Folks, just clarifying that all is well with @bhogleharsha. It was a promo that went viral and unfortunately got everyone worried. Thanks for the love and concern.
    — Anita Bhogle (@BhogleAnita) March 24, 2022
Bhogle’s wife Anita also issued a clarification on Twitter and revealed that her husband was well and sound, and clarified that the video that got everyone worried was a promo.
“Folks, just clarifying that all is well with @bhogleharsha. It was a promo that went viral and unfortunately got everyone worried. Thanks for the love and concern,” she tweeted.
    Outright pathetic.

After auctioneer incident, everyone was in panic. This won’t go down well.
    — Shri 𓃵 (@4thUmpire_) March 24, 2022Sorry to say that, but we didn't expect that from bhogle sir
    — Mallika Nath (@MallikaNath12) March 24, 2022Maybe the producers expected poor acting performance.

But our Harsha plays everything to perfection.
    — Archee (@TwoAAs1) March 24, 2022Simply not cool when one saw auctioneer collapse live on stage a month back!
    — Gagan Chawla (@toecrushrzzz) March 24, 2022This is not correct. I was at a dinner and in panic. Just not right. Don't know what promo it was, but whatever it is, it is just not correct
    — Rahul Bhat (@rahulbhat2000) March 24, 2022This is insane ma'am....releasing such a disturbing video live(whatever crap it was) & taking ages to bother clarifying
    — Kaur rmn (@theHeartyouOwn7) March 24, 2022A promo that has unfortunately left most of us worried. Reading some of the comments and some were in panic. Shows the care and love people have for Harsha and to be testing their emotions wasn't great. Happy all is well but could've been avoided. I'm surprised at the choice.
    — Sankar Ram (@Sankar_Ram_R) March 25, 2022The fans, however, didn’t like this cheap publicity and they bashed the commentator for getting involved in something like this. People were pleased to know he was okay but were also mad at him at the same time.
Not many had expected the 60-year-old to agree to something like this. An angry fan described his action as “outright pathetic” and several others had similar reactions to it.

The only reason we can make out why Bhogle said yes to doing a promo like this was that he perhaps undermined his own popularity a bit too much. Had he known that it would escalate into this and create so much panic, we are sure he wouldn’t have done this.
