The famous line ‘ye dosti hum nahi todenge’ sometimes doesn’t stand true for all friendships. Bollywood and the world of glamour is a tricky place to maintain relationships but some celebrities have managed to stay close through thick and thin. However, some friendships have faded with time and some have gone down a level of being ‘social friends’ only. Here are  few celebrities who were extremely close back in the day:

    1. Suzanne-Hrithik & Arjun-MehrThe two ex-couples used to be very thick before they got divorced and sadly all four went their separate ways. However, Suzanne and Hrithik continue to be very good friends and even take vacations together with their kids.

    2. Kareena Kapoor & Esha DeolNot many know but long before the internet and the paparazzi clicking stars at social gatherings became normal, the two actresses were extremely close but not much was written about them. There are various reasons known for their friendship going sour, including Esha not liking Kareena’s statements around her closeness with Zayed Khan back in the day.

    3. Jacqueline Fernandez & Sonam KapoorThe two beautiful actresses were once upon a time extremely close and were spotted at events together. However, while the friendship seems to exist even now, they are not the ‘best  of friends’ or the ‘3 AM’ friends they once called each other.

    4. Katrina Kaif & Alia BhattThe two leading ladies of Bollywood are still cordial and close but probably not the BFF’s they were, once upon a time. Katrina was in a steady relationship with Ranbir Kapoor and now she is married to Vicky Kaushal, while Alia Bhatt is now all set to get hitched with Ranbir this year.

    5. Riteish Deshmukh & Shreyas TalpadeThe two actors who have previously worked together in films like Housefull 2 and Apna Sapna Money Money, were also close friends before reportedly their Marathi films clashed at the box-office. Apparently Shreyas wanted Riteish to push the release of his film Lai Bhaari, so it didn’t clash with Shreya’s Poshter Boyz.

    6. Salman Khan & Sanjay Leela BhansaliThe duo which worked their magic in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam have been friends for years before the relationship fell apart after his movie Inshallah, which was supposed to star Alia Bhatt along with Salman, got shelved. The reasons were reportedly creative differences and while the director has already offered the olive branch of peace, he’s waiting on Salman Bhai to extend the hand of friendship now.

Like crying babies on a flight, nagging neighbourhood aunties and uncles who throw a tantrum on anything and everything you do, is a phenomenon that drives me absolutely nuts.
When we were younger, they’d throw a fit about playing football in the park, as we grew older it became about making friends with the opposite *** and now, looks like they’ve found another reason to go crazy over.

We are talking about the recent incident that took place in a neighbourhood in New Delhi, where a man was shouted at by 3 uncles and one aunty for walking his dog in the park, even with a leash on.

Having read and checked the guidelines by the government carefully, that allowed for people to walk their pets on public grounds as long as they’re on a leash and as long as one cleans after their excreta, this guy decided to take his dog, Ollie, to the park for a stroll.

Little did he know that the ever nagging people of the society will make it the worst day of his life, as they threw a shit-fit. The guy took to Reddit to share the experience as he wrote, “We were having a blast there running laps, while one auntie came and started to tell me it’s not allowed. I told her it is allowed if he’s leashed and if I pick up his potty, but he won’t do it anyway since he just doesn’t in parks. It didn’t matter what I said she kept going on and on, then one uncle joined her, then another one came and another started shouting at me across the whole park.”

In fact, he was threatened by the people that they would call the cops on him if he ever brought Ollie back to the park.
A few days later, the guy, convinced that he wasn’t wrong to take Ollie, again took his dog to the park and this time handed them copies of the guidelines.
He shared, “I told again the same, that it’s been allowed now if the dog is on a leash, only this time I also handed them the “Guidelines for allowing pet dogs in the public parks” which confirm my statement. They proceeded to read it as you can see in the first video and every few minutes they’d come up with a reason why it’s not true. Like: it applies only for New Delhi. It doesn’t mention parks, only public grounds and grounds are not parks.”

Subsequently, the cops did arrive and he was taken to the station.
“I handed them the guidelines, but uncles told them it’s fake and not applicable here, so they followed. They asked my name, address and contact number and said they’ll file a complaint. I told them I’ll visit their station with a lawyer to clear this up. This all took almost an hour so I asked if I can go home now they said I can,” the man wrote in his post on Reddit.
He further went on to add, “They claimed it states it’s not allowed to visit parks when public is there. After about 45 mins they asked me to call my father-in-law to come, because not much of communication was possible. He came, three of the uncles arrived right afterwards. They talked friendly for 5-10 mins and we went home. The complainant wasn’t filed in the end, but Ollie is not allowed in the park.”

Ultimately, a friend of the guy who worked in an animal welfare association told him, “Ok it’s sorted. No one will stop you from taking dogs for walk. They will set up timings as per law which will not be uncomfortable to either parties. Until they do that you are 100% free to take your dog for walk on leash. He [the president] is calling all the residents and telling them not to mess with you.”

You see, while I understand the fear and inhibitions of people who don’t have dogs, it is unfair to harass a guy with a pet, who is not just abiding by the guidelines set by the law but also willing to cooperate with you and not make it hard on anyone.

As has been the trend for the past many years, defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are all set to begin their title defence against last season runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday (Match 26).
Ahead of the season opening encounter, the MS Dhoni-led outfit is fretting over the unavailability of their star all-rounder Moeen Ali who has yet to obtain his travel documents from the Indian authorities.
    © Twitter/IPL
Owing to this delay, the England all-rounder hasn’t been able to board the Indian flight and the Chenani-based outfit has now confirmed that the 34-year-old will miss their opening match against Shreyas Iyer’s side.

Given the seriousness of the matter, the franchise has also sought the BCCI’s help in resolving the issue as quickly as possible. But it seems like even their involvement has failed to reap any results. So far, all the efforts have been in vain as the southpaw hasn’t received his visa yet.

It’s not clear what exactly is causing this delay and with each passing day, it’s creating a panic inside the CSK camp and among their passionate supporters.

The CSK fans want to know exactly how many matches will Moeen Ali miss this season and what is the franchise doing to resolve the issue.
    © Twitter/IPL
The CSK Chief Executive Officer Kasi Viswanathan has shared a major update on their prolific all-rounder’s visa status. In a statement published on CSK’s official website, Viswanathan said that although he hasn’t got his visa yet, they expect the matter to resolve “in a day or two” at max.

“He has still not got his visa. We have also got in touch with BCCI. BCCI is also working on it. We are expecting that it will be done in a day or two. This is the position as of today. I cannot say that it will be done today. But we are expecting that it can be cleared today,” Viswanathan said, as quoted by CSK’s official website.
    © Twitter/IPL
As to how many matches he will miss, the 54-year old says that it depends on when he joins the squad. Considering that he has to complete a mandatory three-day quarantine after arriving in India, there is no chance of him playing against KKR.

“How many matches he will miss depends on when he comes in. Right now, he will miss the first game. Even if he comes tomorrow, he will not be able to play the first game. That is the position as of today. He is packed and ready. The minute he gets the visa, he will board the next flight to India,” he explained.
    © Twitter/IPL
Moeen Ali’s presence provided a great balance to CSK’s playing XI last year as he batted in the top-order and bowled his quota of overs on a regular basis.

Replacing a utility player like him will not be easy for CSK but they have to find a way to limit the damage as much as possible.

The Kashmir Files stars yesteryear superstar Mithun Chakraborty and veteran actor Anupam Kher in the leading roles. However, the film is centred around the character of Krishna Pandit played by Darshan Kumar who is a known face in the web world due to his roles in shows like Aashram, Avrodh, The Family Man and has featured in movies like Mary Kom, NH10 and Sarbjit.
After playing supporting characters and negative roles, Darshan got his first lead role in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files and received a lot of acclaim for his layered performance. Many are going gaga over his long monologue in the climax of the film.

However, a lesser-known fact is that Darshan didn’t start his film career with the 2014 film Mary Kom where he played Priyanka Chopra’s husband. That was without a doubt his breakthrough role but Darshan has been around since the year 2000.

A few may remember that before getting meatier roles in films, Darshan starred in two highly popular movies in 2001 and 2003 as one of the friends of the lead actor.
In the 2003 cult hit Tere Naam, Darshan was one of the three friends of Salman Khan’s Radhe Mohan. His character was named Kanak Sharma and had a few scenes and dialogues as well.

However, his debut was two years before Tere Naam in Tusshar Kapoor’s first film Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.
In the film, Darshan can be seen standing in the background as one of many friends of Tusshar’s character Karan.

Check out a scene from Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai below:

After playing minuscule roles in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai and Tere Naam, Darshan Kumar turned towards TV and featured in a couple of shows like Chotti Bahu, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev.
He returned to films in 2014 with his breakthrough role alongside Priyanka Chopra.
Finally, after struggling for years, Darshan landed a lead role in a film with The Kashmir Files and rocked the box office.
If this isn’t a true success story then what is.

Indian Premier League (IPL) is the biggest T20 league in the world. It’s a fact that nobody can deny, even if they want to.
Since its inception in 2008, this tournament has transformed the ‘gentleman’s game’ forever. Thanks to IPL, now cricket has also succeeded in matching the financial might of many other popular sports like football, baseball, and baseball.
    © Twitter/IPL
In fact, according to a report published by Duff and Phelps, the IPL has become the fourth most expensive league in the world in terms of per match broadcasting rights. It is only behind the National Football League, English Premier League, and Major League Baseball.

It’s a competition that no cricket lover wants to miss.  Obviously everyone has their own reasons. For fans, the biggest attraction is the quality of cricket they get to witness throughout this competition and the opportunity to see players from different countries assembling under one roof.
    © Twitter/IPL
But for the majority of the cricketers, especially the overseas players, the biggest pull is the crazy amount of money that they make playing for a couple of months.

The money was the reason why the IPL, unlike other sports, took place even during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic in the last two years and most players participated willingly, despite being aware of the threats.
    © Reuters
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri, during a press conference organised by Star Sports with only a few days left in the 15th edition of the tournament, lavished huge praise on the lucrative league and described it as “one of the greatest leagues in the world”.

According to Shastri, who will be making his comeback into the comm box after a long gap with IPL 2022, feels that IPL is the “one of the greatest physios in the world” which has the power to cure people’s sufferings.
    © Instagram/Ravi Shastri
The former India all-rounder got a bit carried away while praising the tournament and didn’t realise that through his remarks had exposed the money-minded mentality of hundreds of players who grace the event every year.

“IPL is one of the greatest leagues in the world, and it's also one of the greatest physios in the world, because, before the IPL auction everyone wants to get fit, because everyone wants to play in the IPL,” Shastri said in the press conference.
    © Reuters
In the same presser, Shastri also blamed the BCCI’s stupid constitution and its clause for keeping him away from the commentary box for five years.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have any issues with players minting huge money in the IPL. They have worked hard on their skills and they deserve every bit of their success.
My problem is with those cricketers who make themselves unavailable for the national team but turn up for their IPL franchises within in a matter of weeks.

Sukumar's Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, was released last year and went on to become the biggest hit of 2021, beating other big hits like Sooryavanshi and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Besides the storyline and performances, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Oo Antava song too turned out to be a major highlight.
    View this post on Instagram
Not just on YouTube, the song became a huge hit on several big social media platforms including Instagram. However, the latest buzz suggests that Samantha will not be a part of Puspa 2 and a Bollywood actress will sizzle with Allu Arjun in the item song in the sequel.
View this post on InstagramReportedly, Disha Patani will do an item song in the sequel to Pushpa. Yes, you read that right! According to various reports, Disha, who refused to do the item song for the first installment, would shake a leg with Allu Arjun in the sequel. Director Sukumar is said to have decided to make this alteration in Pushpa 2.

However, it is not yet confirmed as Disha and Pushpa makers are yet to react to the ongoing buzz.

After the record-breaking success of Pushpa Part 1, the team has already started work on its second installment, which is rumoured to be the franchise's conclusion. The makers are planning to release Pushpa 2 later this year, on December 17. But, an official announcement is still awaited.

Coming back to Samantha, she has a variety of projects in her kitty, including Shakuntalam, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, starring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, and Arrangements of Love, her first international film.
On the other hand, Disha's slate includes Ek Villain Returns, Yodha, and KTina.
