Deepika Padukone, who is elated with the response to her performance in Gehraiyaan, has graced the cover page of an International magazine, which is a big achievement. Taking to social media, the actress shared a few pictures from the photoshoot leaving her fans excited. While her admirers just couldn't stop gushing about her, others aren't happy with the caption.

Posting the pictures on Instagram, she wrote, "From being made to feel like a person of colour for as long as I can remember to making it to the cover of one of the world’s most prominent beauty magazines, it has been an arduous and uphill journey of learning, unlearning, growth and evolution. Thank you @allure for your faith, generosity and kind words".
Take a look at her post below:

Well, Deepika got criticized for not being able to express the usage of the term ‘person of colour’ clearly in the caption as some netizens found her disrespectful. For the unversed, 'person of colour' is a term that describes those who are not white, including Indians.
Reacting to the statement, a Twitter user wrote, "I don't understand how can a POC (person of colour) be made to feel like POC?? Babe you are that so be proud of it".
Another social media user tweeted, "Aiyyooo she was born to a famous father, a model and then a Bollywood star. Still playing the victim card for an international magazine!"
A third tweet reads, "She really needs a therapy #deepikapadukone". Here are the reactions:

    — Varun (@stayhappyhuman) March 11, 2022Idk it's like insinuating that being person of color is a bad thing... I just can't keep up with her https://t.co/7ld9glgNCD

    — -- (@emptyvase_) March 11, 2022Deepika’s insta caption on her Allure cover is making me howl. “From being made to feel like a person of colour as long as I can remember…” pic.twitter.com/8jHbAotJUL
    — Pink Banter (@KhanNaqs) March 10, 2022@deepikapadukone's #Allure cover... What does the caption mean? She is a person of colour so what is "being made to feel like a person of colour" and is talking about colour a prerequisite for an international magazine cover? Lol

I thought her PR proofreads captions? #Bollywood pic.twitter.com/YAUWfUVI7G
    — Stella John (@i_StellaJohn) March 10, 2022We wonder how Deepika would react to the criticism.
On the film front, the Piku star has several interesting projects in her kitty. She'll be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in his comeback vehicle Pathaan. It is slated to hit the theatres on January 25, 2023.
Deepika has also signed Siddharth Anand's Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan and Nag Ashwin's Project K alongside Prabhas.
