    Aaron Finch went unsold at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction and that raised a few eyebrows as he recently led Australia to their maiden T20 World Cup title. Finch didn't score much in the World Cup and no team showed interest in getting his services for the upcoming edition of the IPL. 
    However, with Alex Hales pulling out of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed Finch as the England batter's replacement. The Australian white-ball captain will become the first player in the history of the franchise-based league to represent nine teams. 
    Aaron Finch joins KKR as a replacement for Alex Hales.

    KKR had bought Alex Hales for Rs 1.5 crore at the mega auction but the England opening batter cited bio-bubble fatigue as the main reason behind his decision to pull out from the upcoming tournament.  
    After Jason Roy, Hales is the second England player who has opted out of the tournament due to bio-bubble fatigue.
    Finch made his IPL debut for the Rajasthan Royals in 2010 but inconsistent performances saw him going from one IPL team to another year after year. 
    Apart from RR, Finch has played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), RCB. He was also part of the two now-defunct franchises – Gujarat Lions and Pune Warriors India.

    As Finch was roped in by the two-time IPL champions KKR it led to a meme fest on Twitter as fans came up with hilarious responses to the Australian's new signing.

However, these numbers don't do justice to his ability with the bat. Finch holds the record for the highest individual score in T20Is. He smashed 172 runs against Zimbabwe off just 76 balls.  
    It has been a trend in the IPL that whenever a big player leaves Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and goes onto play for another franchise, he scores heaps of runs and KKR fans would be hoping that this trend continues and the Australia captain gives them explosive starts throughout the IPL.  
    The 15th edition of the IPL is set to begin with a blockbuster clash between last year's finalists. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on KKR at the Wankhede stadium on March 26.

    On March 12, 2022, two Test matches will begin: Pakistan will play Australia in Karachi in the second of a three-match series at home, while India will play Sri Lanka in a Pink Ball Test in Bengaluru.
    Team India, on the other hand, will be keeping a close eye on the Pakistan game in Karachi, and would prefer to support their neighbours, as the Rohit Sharma-led team will be looking to recapture the title that the Australians had taken away earlier this year.

    When India takes against Dimuth Karunaratne's side at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in what is considered to be former Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s second home, it will be their third Day-Night Test at home. The Men in Blue had already smashed England in Ahmedabad last year and trounced Bangladesh in their historic first home match in 2019 at Eden Gardens, where Virat Kohli had produced his last international century across all formats of the game.
    As a result, India will be looking to keep their unbeaten streak in Test cricket alive by sweeping Sri Lanka at home. And if India can keep their unbeaten streak going on at home, Rohit Sharma's side will retake the top spot in Test cricket. They had claimed the top rank in the ICC Rankings after winning a series against New Zealand at home last November, but an Ashes victory for Australia saw Pat Cummins' side dethrone the Indian team.

    The victory, though, is contingent on Pakistan holding Australia to a draw in both of their remaining Tests or winning at least one of them.
    With a 2-0 victory, India will have 118 rating points, one lower than Australia's rating at the start of the series. If the Pakistan-Australia series concludes in a 0-0 draw, Cummins' team will drop to second place with 115 points, and if Pakistan wins at least one of their remaining games, they might drop as low as third place with 111 points. 
    India will finish first with a 1-1 draw, while Australia will finish second with 115 rating points. However, if Australia wins both of the upcoming Tests, they will maintain their 121-point lead.

The period saga, which revolves around the fall of Bhalladeva at the hands of Baahubali, broke several box office records across the world and is still considered as the most-loved film of Rajamouli as well as Prabhas.

    While the series concluded with Baahubali 2, fans have been waiting for updates related to the third part of the film. Prabhas, who is currently busy promoting his latest release Radhe Shyam, has finally reacted to the possibility of Baahubali 3. Expressing that the world of Baahubali can never end, the actor cleared that he has no idea about the third installment.
    He also stated that if Baahubali 3 has to happen, it is definitely going to take time and everything is in SS Rajamouli's hands.

    Talking about Baahubali 3 while promoting Radhe Shyam, Prabhas told Hindustan Times, "Baahubali is a film I will always hold very close to my heart. The kind of impact it has left in my career can never be matched. Whether Baahubali 3 will happen or not is something I don’t know. But I definitely can’t do immediately, but it has to happen, it will only if Rajamouli wants it"
    However, Rajamouli is yet to react to the possibility of Baahubali 3. 
    For now, both Prabhas and Rajamouli are busy with their upcoming projects. The actor’s latest release Radhe Shyam is getting a mixed response from fans,. The film is performing well in the South market. However, it is underperforming in the North belt.

    Rajamouli, on the other hand, is waiting for the release of his much-hyped film RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. After getting delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pan-Indian project is now slated to hit the theatres on March 25. It also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran in pivotal roles.

    The IPL title and sponsorship deals are estimated to bring in Rs 800 crore for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the biggest revenue for the board since the inaugural edition in 2008. The IPL title sponsor has switched from Vivo to the Tata group for two years. IPL 2022 will be sponsored by a total of nine well-known brands, including two new associate sponsors.
    It's worth noting that the BCCI has a core sponsorship partnership with Swiggy Instamart and RuPay. According to News18, the BCCI has signed an agreement of Rs 42 crore with RuPay and Rs 44 crore with Swiggy Instamart for the IPL every year.

    Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, was also pleased to see the cash generated by IPL sponsorship, though he would not comment on the specific figure, which is expected to be significant. According to sources, Tata Group will pay IPL INR 335 crore per year for title sponsorship, with another big source of revenue expected to come from a pro-rata payment for an increase in the number of matches in IPL 2022 and 2023. 
    The IPL 2022 is set to begin on March 26, with the finals taking place on May 29. The showpiece tournament will feature ten teams, including two new franchises, the Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans. Participants in the IPL have begun to form their own bio bubbles. There will be up to 70 league games, with each team getting 14 games throughout the course of the season.

    The four venues for the IPL 2022 matches are Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, and MCA International Stadium in Pune. The tournament will begin with the Kolkata Knight Riders taking against the Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions.
    While the fans are happy with the speed at which the Indian cricket team and the Indian cricket board are growing in power and prosperity, they aren’t completely sure about where all that money is going. The BCCI has been requested by Indian cricket enthusiasts to start investing in a women’s IPL as well, especially since the smaller cricket boards like Pakistan and Australia have already launched similar leagues (or will be doing so from next year onwards).

    Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is among the biggest stars of South Indian cinema, is currently in Mumbai. A day after attending an award function, the actress met Bollywood star Varun Dhawan and director-duo Raj & DK last night. Varun was at his chivalrous best for the South stunner as they got papped together.

    However, fans are already rooting for Varun and Samantha as their video is currently doing the rounds on social media in which the Student of The Year star is seen saving the U-Turn actress from paparazzi crowding near her. Viral Bhayani, a popular paparazzi, has posted a video on his official Instagram handle in which Varun and Samantha were seen exiting a building with director Raj Nidimoru.
    While Varun wore an orange T-shirt with ripped denims, Sam sported a great and dark blue jacket with black pants. As the paps surrounded them to capture the duo, Varun asked them to not scare Samantha as she looked a little clueless. He said, "Darao mat, kyun dara rahe ho isko (Do not scare her. Why are you scaring her)?"
    Hearing this, Samantha passes a smile. Varun then protectively escorts her to the car with his hands around her, like a shield. The actress can be heard saying "thank you" to Varun as she reaches her car. Watch the video here:

    For the unversed, Samantha and Varun-starrer Citadel remake is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. While Samantha had earlier worked with Raj & DK in The Family Man 2, Varun will be working with the director-duo for the first time in the upcoming series.
