Rohit Sharma is one of the most successful Indian Premier League (IPL) captains and it was his captaincy record in the franchise-based tournament that played a pivotal role in him getting the Indian captaincy across all formats. Rohit has won five IPL titles, the most by any captain in the history of the tournament.
The 34-year-old has had a wonderful start to his career as skipper in international cricket having won 16 matches on the trot. Before donning the captain's hat, Rohit had already won an IPL under Adam Gilchrist's captaincy with Deccan Chargers.
Rohit was chased by four franchises including Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings but he was eventually roped in by Mumbai Indians.

Former India opening batter and two-time IPL-winning captain Gautam Gambhir lavished praise on Rohit and said he was one of the players who gave him sleepless nights when the two met each other in the T20 league.

"As captain, Rohit Sharma is the only player who gave me sleepless nights. Neither Chris Gayle nor AB de Villiers nor anyone else, only Rohit Sharma. He is the player who gave me sleepless nights. There is no more successful cricketer in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) than Rohit Sharma as captain," Gambhir said during a discussion on Star Sports.

Fans took to Twitter and reacted hilariously to Gambhir's comments, giving amusing reasons behind the former KKR skipper having sleepless nights thanks to Rohit.

The week saw two prominent films releasing in theatres - Prabhas starrer big budget Radhe Shyam and Vivek Agnihotri’s controversial The Kashmir Files.
While Radhe Shyam features one of the biggest stars of the country and a big production house backing it with a good amount of marketing, The Kashmir Files had low promotions with a low release in just 700 screens in India.
However, the ground reality is the exact opposite.

Radhe Shyam was expected to open well at the box office due to Prabhas’ popularity across the country but unfortunately, the film has made a dull start, according to Box Office India.

Going by the current opening trends of Radhe Shyam, the film will collect in the range of Rs 5-6 crore from its Hindi version, which is quite low for a film starring Prabhas. Also, considering his last release in Hindi, Saaho opened to a staggering Rs 25.82 crore.
Along with Radhe Shyam, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files was released. The film starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darsha Kumar and Pallavi Joshi had a good start and its opening day figure will surprise many.
The film had recorded good advance booking and its opening day is now expected to go past the day one figures of Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s Badhaai Do that was released last month.

The Kashmir Files is a follow up to Vivek Agnihotri’s previous directorial The Tashkent Files. That film too had almost zero promotions and small releases but had turned out to be a sleeper hit.

The Kashmir Files will definitely open way better than The Tashkent Files.
Recently, the film got some free publicity when Vivek Agnihotri accused Kapil Sharma of refusing to promote the film on his show as it didn’t feature big stars.
Soon, a section of the audience started trolling Kapil on social media.
The ace comedian had hit back saying the accusation wasn’t true and that people shouldn’t believe in one-sided stories.

Arguably the most complete cricketer of the current generation, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has millions of fans all around the world.
There are many budding cricketers who aspire to bat, bowl and field like him but matching the skills of the world’s number one Test all-rounder is an herculean task in itself. It’s easier said than done.
    'Rockstar' @imjadeja @Paytm #INDvSL pic.twitter.com/JG25othE56
    — BCCI (@BCCI) March 5, 2022
From his iconic celebration to his bowling action, many people try to imitate the ace-all-rounder on-field mannerism but only a few succeed. The reason could be that they try too hard.
The reason why I am talking about all this is because recently a video has gone viral on social media which has left the cricket fans amazed. This video features Pakistan speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi and shows him trying his hands at left-arm spin bowling in the nets.
    View this post on Instagram
Afridi has become a huge talking point on social media because of the striking similarity in his spin-bowling action with that of our superstar cricketer Jadeja, who recently stole the show with a brilliant all-round show in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali.
There’s a lot of Ravindra Jadeja, just a few inches taller, about Shaheen Shah Afridi bowling left-arm spin, the bounce in the hair included #PakvAus pic.twitter.com/6YCI99E9VV
    — Bharat Sundaresan (@beastieboy07) March 10, 2022
The discussion was started by journalist Bharat Sundaresan, who posted the video on the micro-blogging site and wrote: “There’s a lot of Ravindra Jadeja, just a few inches taller, about Shaheen Shah Afridi bowling left-arm spin, the bounce in the hair included #PakvAus.”
Look closely and you would understand why the journalist wrote what he did. From his approach to the bowling crease to the point of release, Afridi imitated Jadeja’s action to the T.
Reacting to the post, some fans praised Afridi and described him a ‘carbon copy’ of the India all-rounder, others decided to pull him down by calling him a second copy of the Indian all-rounder.
maybe jadeja took the wrong flight from mohali and landed in karachi instead of bengaluru
    — Arpit (@Cricket4Sarcasm) March 10, 2022True brother, and Shaheen can't bat like jadeja and field like jadeja
    — Nishit Saraiya (@Nishit_Saraiya) March 11, 2022Shaheen dejected after a dead Rawalpindi pitch, decides to bowl off spin.
    — B Z (@BZEHRI1) March 11, 2022He is looking like Jadeja pro max
    — Fahad Mughal (@FahadMughal3211) March 10, 2022True!!! Wants to imitate #1 test all rounder
    — Amit Chakravarty (@amitchakravarty) March 10, 2022Shaheen's bowling action in this clip is a carbon of jadeja's action
    — Aakash (@AakashSingh64) March 10, 2022that’s almost an identical action
    — BRUCE BOUDREAU SZN (@canuckdemkos) March 10, 2022Some fans even joked that Afridi was practicing spin bowling because of the ‘dead pitch’ which he encountered in the first Test against Australia in Rawalpindi. The opening match of the historic two-Test series ended in a draw as batters dominated the play on all five days.
Match referee Ranjan Madugalle said the pitch for the first #PAKvAUS Test in Rawalpindi did not offer an even contest between bat and ball
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) March 10, 2022
In their report submitted to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the match officials rated the pitch as ‘below average’, acting on which the world governing body has given it one demerit point.
If Pakistan prepare a similar surface in Karachi, Afridi’s left-arm spin might come in handy.

Bollywood's action star Vidyut Jammwal has made his reality show debut with Discovery's India's Ultimate Warrior. In the show, which is currently streaming on Discovery+, the actor is seen as Dojo Master who is mentoring the disciples, along with four mentors, to become the ultimate warrior.

Superstar Akshay Kumar recently appeared on the show as a special guest to assign some tough tasks to the contestants. This was the first time when Akshay and Vidyut shared the screen space.

Since Akshay too is among the biggest action stars of Bollywood, the promos have left fans excited. While the episode will air on March 16 on the Discovery Channel, Vidyut, in an exclusive chat with MensXP, shared his experience of shooting with the 'Khiladi' Kumar.
    View this post on Instagram
Talking about Akshay, the Commando star said, "It was great. We were having fun. We were seeing things that we've been experiencing every day of our lives. You know, watching people go through turmoils that life puts you into, every day. And, that was the fun part of Akshay sir and me because we were having fun. We were learning while teaching all the disciples".
On being asked about the possibility of teaming up with Akshay for an action film in the near future, Vidyut gave an interesting answer. He replied, "You should expect the unexpected, always in life. So, yes, the unexpected just might happen".
Well, only time will tell if a film featuring Vidyut and Akshay is on the cards or not. In case it happens, it is going to be the biggest action extravaganza.

Talking further about making his reality TV debut with India's Ultimate Warrior, the country's first reality show on martial arts and combat skills, Vidyut added, "The idea of being a master (Dojo Master) was the imperative thing for me because I've been raised by a lot of masters when I was growing up. And, not only to learn physical abilities but to do mental as well as spiritual work. So, when the team came up to me with the offer of playing a master to four mentors and 16 disciples, I thought why not do a show that's exactly the way I've been raised. So, we put people in the situations that happen to everybody in their daily lives to find India's ultimate warrior".
The show is slated to premiere on the Discovery Channel on March 14.

Last month, Madhuri Dixit made her OTT debut with Karan Johar’s first fictional web series The Fame Game. The show received mixed reviews from the critics but got a favourable response from the audience and has been a success for Netflix.
Even though it’s been weeks since the show was released, Karan Johar is leaving no stones unturned as far as its unique promotional strategy is concerned.
Earlier, the makers released short music videos of some of the young stars of today dancing alongside Madhuri Dixit. These include the likes of Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Ishaan Khatter.

However, the makers unveiled a masterstroke with their latest music video as they got Madhuri Dixit to dance alongside Johny Lever and I must say their chemistry together is too cute to be missed.

Johny Lever is simply nailing it as he shakes a leg with Madhuri Dixit.
The music video starts with Johny Lever’s voiceover as he says, “Madhuri ji toh miracle hai. Madhuri ji ke saath dance karna mere liye saubhagya ki baat hai aur har picture mein jo bhi karti hain kamaal karti hain. Hamaari bahut bahut shubkaamnayein unke saath. (Madhuri ji is a miracle. I feel privileged to have danced with Madhuri ji. She is brilliant in every film that she works on. Here’s wishing her all the best.)”
Sharing the video on his social media account, the King of Comedy wrote, “Madhuri ji aur unke dupatte ke jaadu se koi nahi bach sakta! See it to believe it. The Fame Game series, now streaming on Netflix #TheFameGame #TheFameGameOnNetflix #TheFameGameChallenge”.

Another wrote, “Johny Bhai Aap ny b to kamal Dance perform kia ha”.
