Kareena Kapoor Khan, who made her acting debut with Refugee in 2000, is among the most successful actresses of Bollywood. Besides delivering many hit films, she is also known for being very outspoken. Due to this quality, Kareena has courted controversies several times in her career spanning over two decades.
View this post on Instagram
She is among those leading ladies who have shared the screen space with the three Khans - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. With SRK, she did films like Asoka and Ra.One. She worked with Aamir in 3 Idiots and Talaash while the actress romanced Salman in biggies like Bodyguard and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
However, did you know that Kareena had once called Salman a very bad actor while talking about the three Khans of Bollywood? When asked about the Khan she admired the most amongst SRK, Salman, and Aamir in an old interview, Kareena was quick to take the name of her Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham co-star. The actress added that she doesn't like Salman at all. Yes, you read that right!
View this post on Instagram
As per a throwback shared by Masala.com, she said, "I’m not at all a Salman fan. I don’t like him, he’s a very bad actor. I tell him that he hams all the time. Aamir Khan’s good, I really liked him in Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, but out of the Khans, I’m a total Shah Rukh fan".
She added, "I'm totally in love with him. Don’t even ask me about him because if I start I won’t stop talking about him for hours. Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh are the only two actors I admire. There is something about Shah Rukh that is amazing. He has that very boy next door appeal which makes every girl want to take him home to her parents. His performances touch me".
View this post on Instagram
Kareena made his shocking statement when she wasn't on friendly terms with Salman. However, both of them solved their issues later and teamed up for several films.
On the career front, the actress will next be seen opposite Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha, the official remake of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump. She has also signed Hansal Mehta's next.

Rajasthan Royals, after a disappointing campaign last year, have upped the ante going into the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022).
Their intent reflected in the new players they signed during the IPL mega auction held in Bengaluru last month. And now with only two weeks left in the start of the mega event, they have made another important appointment.
View this post on Instagram
The winners of the inaugural edition have roped in Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga to look after their fast-bowling department. Widely regarded as the one of the best bowlers in limited-over cricket, Malinga’s appointment comes as a massive boost to RR’s young pace battery which includes the likes of Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Navdeep Saini, among others.
Speaking about the new challenge, the former Sri Lanka pacer said it was an “absolute honour” to join the franchise that has always taken young talents under its wings and nurtured them by providing them with the right kind of support and environment.

“It's a wonderful feeling for me to return to the IPL and an absolute honour to join Rajasthan Royals, a franchise that has always promoted and developed young talent,” Malinga said in the media release issued by his new employers.
“I am excited by the pace bowling unit we have going into the tournament and looking forward to supporting all the fast bowlers with the execution of their game-plans and their overall development.
Wishing the leading wicket-taker in IPL, Lasith Malinga a very happy birthday.

Malinga has played only for Mumbai Indians in the IPL and that’s why he enjoys a huge fan-following in the city of dreams. Speaking about his special memories with the record IPL champions, he said: “I've made some very special memories in the IPL with Mumbai Indians and now with Royals, looking forward to new experiences and creating great memories in this journey.”

— akshay (@arreakshay) March 11, 2022Last year, Rajasthan Royals had missed the services of several of their high-ticket foreign signings who had opted out of the tournament citing various reasons.
In the absence of key players like Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Jos Buttler (he missed the second leg), the Sanju Samson-led side struggled to get their combination right which resulted in them finishing second from bottom on the points table.

With all the new signings, they would be hoping to change their fortunes and having legends like Malinga and Kumar Sangakkara in the dressing room would certainly help.

The Australian cricket team is currently on a historic tour of Pakistan and they are in Karachi for the second Test match of the three-game series.
The first Test ended in a draw and fans were left disappointed as they waited to see an Australian side play Test cricket in Pakistan for 24 years and when it became a reality, there was no contest between bat and ball.
Bowlers from both sides toiled hard but failed to attract anything out of the pitch.
Only 11 wickets fell over the course of four days of the first Test and on the final day, both Pakistani openers scored unbeaten centuries to further annoy fans.
JUST IN: The Rawalpindi pitch for the first #PAKvAUS Test has been rated as 'below average' by ICC match referee Ranjan Madugalle and has been handed one demerit point.
Five demerit points in a five-year period would result in a 12 month ban from hosting international cricket. pic.twitter.com/7ZrVqtYI4e
— ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) March 10, 2022
PCB chief Ramiz Raja defended the criticism of the pitch and said that his side was not prepared and hence they did not want to take any chances against a strong Australian side that is why the pitch was so flat.
“Just for the heck of it, we can’t prepare a fast pitch or a bouncy pitch and put the game in Australia’s lap," Raja had said, adding that a lot of cricket is left in the series and hopefully the fans will get to see a result.

On the eve of the second Test, scheduled to be played in Karachi, Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne posted a picture on Twitter, sharing what he had for Lunch with fans.
The picture was of a plate in which dal and roti was served. The post soon went viral and fans came in numbers to troll the 'hospitality' of the Pakistan cricket board.

The second Test will get underway in Karachi from Saturday (March 12) and all eyes will be on the deck after the disappointment in the series opener.

There’s a saying that people in India take up Engineering to find out what they really want to do in life. And, with more and more engineering students going off to a different field, whether it is becoming a bodybuilder, a mountaineer or a guitarist, after completing their B. Tech, this saying is turning into a downright fact.
© iStock
Some become artists, while some go for banking and MBA. And, then there are engineers who legit quit their jobs to become street food sellers. Because apparently, anything pays more than what an average engineer gets in India.
© iStock
Here are two young men from Haryana who are engineers by education but biryani sellers by profession.
Sachin, a working professional and Rohit, a polytechnic student have quit their jobs and have started a small biryani stall by the name ‘Engineer’s Veg Biryani’.
© India Today
According to the report by India Today, they are selling one plate for Rs. 70 and half a plate for Rs.50. They claim that their small business has generated huge profits and they are now earning more than they ever did in their desk job.
This is commendable and not at all surprising because a lot of engineers earn peanuts in their jobs while a street food stall tends to earn a good amount if it is running well.
© India Today
They are selling oil-free vegetable biryani that is perfect for gym-goers and those who are on a diet. Apart from being healthy, vegetarian and oil-free, they say that it’s the unique taste of their biryani that brings back the customers of Sonipat where their stall stands.
© India Today
It proves that whether it is starting a brand or selling biryani, an engineer will always find a way to make an earning out of his passion or talent when his engineering job doesn’t work out for him.

My most dreadful nightmares wouldn't have ghosts or goblins or serial killers on the loose. Instead, what it would look like is having more than 5 missed calls on my phone screen from either of my parents.
A legit nightmare that was turned into a reality for a lot of people who use the cab aggregator company - Ola.
© Ola
Now, we all know that in this day and age of social media, there are more than a hundred ways to market your product/service right. Infact, marketing gimmicks are ever-evolving, preying on the behavioural patterns of the consumer.
However, when Ola tried to make use of such gimmicks to up their sales, they might have gone a bit too far.
We are saying this after several users have slammed Ola on social media for sending out “8 Missed calls from Mom” notification to its users as a way to promote their service.
Little did they know, it would do the exact opposite.
The company’s idea was to send out notifications to the Ola app users that started with showing how there are 8 missed calls from one’s mother, only to continue to write (in a rather small font) that it was to inform them how there is a 40% discount going on services.
I'll beat you, Ola . Some of us l feel instantly anxious at the thought of so many missed calls. You could probably use better copy. pic.twitter.com/dCoKtly11F
— booksandsarees (@idlybiryani) March 9, 20228 missed calls from your mom
Why is @Olacabs traumatizing me like this? pic.twitter.com/YrL0pTAllw
— Anangsha Alammyan (@anangsha_) March 9, 2022 Sharing screenshots on social media, people called out the company for infusing customers with panic and anxiety, for no one can be expected to take something like this lightly.
Where a single missed call from one’s mother can wreak havoc on people, showing they had missed 8 was but a way to completely take people by shock, not even by surprise.
@Olacabs are you trying to give me a heart attack???!!
8 missed calls from mom??!!! pic.twitter.com/R2hV5GLYmX
— M. (@ManishaDot) March 9, 2022"8 missed calls from mom"
There's a way to do marketing. Do not cross your limits by sending such notifications and making users panicked. Couldn't block the notifications coz bookings notifications will also get blocked. #disappointed#olacabs @Olacabs
— AK Tweets (@Ankitk645) March 11, 2022 “Olacabs why are you trying to give me a heart attack???!! 8 missed calls from mom??!!!", wrote one user as several others related to it. Another Twitter user called it a “terrible clickbait”.
In fact, a user even went ahead to criticize the marketing stunt in great detail, as he wrote, “A banner notification with 5-20 missed calls from MOM would flash on the mobile - setting a panic - followed by a silly 40% off on their services. Imagine the impact of such an advert on people like me who recently lost their mothers/ or people who live away from their ailing mothers …. The advert is a clickbait tactic - but strikes a poor chord and leaves a very bitter aftertaste."
'8 missed calls from mom', followed by a 40% off promo!
This is a terrible clickbait by Ola.
Pic via @kartik679 on LinkedIn. pic.twitter.com/QBzIF86510
— Karthik (@beastoftraal) March 10, 2022 At the same time, a few people wondered how it would have been horrible for people who would receive this notification and not have a mom.
A user wrote, “Imagine sending this notification to someone whose mom recently died or went missing. Terrible company."
Guess, Ola didn’t think this through at all!

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is one such actor who is one of the hardest working people in the industry.
Anything that he usually does has a way of finding its way to success, which is obviously a big compliment to his talent and his choices throughout his decades-long career.
Akshay was recently seen in the Rohit Shetty cop-universe film Sooryavanshi, which also starred Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn.
© Netflix
Now, being a super huge star, Akshay barely needs any other thing to make his movies a success, however, the addition of the star power of Ranveer and Ajay clearly helps.
Having now starred in a multi-starrer film, the actor is going ahead with another such project which is his partnership with Tiger Shroff in Bade Miyan Chotey Miyan remake.
Speaking about starring in multi-starred films, Akshay was asked about his thoughts on what he thought about Bollywood movies that had two-three heroes.
© Instagram/Akshay Kumar
Well, while interacting during the media session, Akshay questioned the logic of many Bollywood stars refusing to be a part of such ensemble casts.
“I would not say names but there is a (no) dearth of people thinking, actor thinking ki 'let’ s not do a two-hero, three hero films'. I keep on scratching my head and I don’t understand why they don’t want to do it. It is so wonderful to do a three hero subject, four hero subject, even five hero subject – what happens in Hollywood.
“What happens here is that they don’t want to do it. Do mein hi badi mushkil se mante hai log. Haath pair jhodne padta hai. Samaj mein hi nahi aata mera ki kyu nahi kar sakte ho. Kyu nahi kar sakta ki chaar ladkiya hai aur mai akela hu, kyu nahi kar sakta. (Even to get two actors is a task. You have to beg. I don’t understand why they behave like that.)”
“So things will change I presume. One day it will happen,” said Akshay.
When asked about why he says yes to movies that feature 2-3 heroes, the actor replied, “Because the script is nice. I want to do it. I want to be part of a good film. I want to be part of a hit film rather than what is my role. Mai apne role ka aachar dalunga!?”
He continued, “If it is a three hero subject and mera role theek hai lekin picture ki kahaani bahot badiya hai toh I would want to be a part of it. Kyuki kal koi baat karega toh bolega ki ‘yeh bhi tha film mein.’ It’s a hit film, it’s a big film. 300 crore ka dhanda hua hai, so it is going to benefit me also. (If it is a 3-hero film and my part is small but the story is good, I would want to be a part of it. Because in future when people talk about the hit film they will remember I was part of it.
Akshay will next be seen in the upcoming film Bachchan Pandey.

The biggest cricket carnival on the planet, IPL 2022, will start in just over two weeks from now. With the addition of two new franchises, the level of competition in the cash-rich league is expected to get even more riveting.
Players who are not on their national duties have already started their preparations for the high-octane event. In the build-up to the event, the biggest excitement among the fans is about the outfits of two new franchises – Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
View this post on Instagram
Both the teams are yet to reveal their jersey officially but fans already know what colour the LSG players will be wearing, thanks to a video of Bollywood rapper Badshah.
The video which has gone viral on the internet shows the singer and rapper wearing a turquoise blue jersey with LSG logo on it.

The video, which by the looks of it seems like a theme song of the franchise, shows the famous singer lipsing a few lines as he marches towards the camera, with a huge crowd walking behind his back, creating a full festive atmosphere.
Talking about the jersey, the outfit has been designed keeping in mind the team’s logo and has a few orange and orange and green patterns around the shoulders and the sides.
The LSG fans who had been waiting for the jersey launch were not too pleased with the colour choice and the overall design. Disappointed with the leaked outfit, a user questioned the designer’s creativity and said that the design was similar to what the cast of famous TV show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma’ wore in their ‘Gokuldham Premier League’.

— Supriya (@Supriya_pro) March 10, 2022Owned by Sanjeev Goenka’s RPSG group, the Lucknow-based outfit is the most expensive franchise in IPL history. The owners had to shell out a whopping Rs 7,090 crores to win the rights for the team when the two new teams were auctioned by the BCCI last year.
Fans might have varied opinions about their jersey colour but one thing that nobody can reject is that the management has assembled a solid group of players in their squad.

With the presence of players like KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Jason Holder, Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, and others, the franchise is expected to make a mark in its inaugural season. And if the players manage to do that, everything else will be forgotten.
